What is Red Skill

Red Skill is an AI Skill distribution platform launched by Xiaohongshu. After creators upload a SKILL.md file on the Creator Service Platform, fill in information, and pass review, they can attach the Skill to a note; users click the Skill component in the note, copy the installation command, and paste it intoOpenClaw、Claude Codeand other AI Agents to use it. Red Skill leverages Xiaohongshu's content ecosystem to achieve content-as-distribution, covering popular Skills such as PPT generation, interview assistant, and travel planning, but the current usage flow stops at generating interest, and actual execution requires redirecting off-platform.

Main features of Red Skill

• Skill creation and publishing: Creators upload SKILL.md files and fill in information; after a few minutes of review, they can publish original or reposted Skills.
• Note content attachment: Skills that pass review can be directly attached to the end of a note by adding a component, and distributed together with the content.
• User discovery and installation: Users click the Skill widget in a note, copy the installation command, and paste it into OpenClaw, Claude Code, and other AI Agents to use it.
• Cross-platform Agent compatibility: As a distribution entry point, it is compatible with mainstream AI Agents such as OpenClaw and Claude Code, and does not run Skills directly.
• Traffic support and data display: Publishing Skill notes can receive official traffic support, and the detail page displays the number of users in real time.
• Multi-category ecosystem coverage: It already covers content creation and life decision-making Skills such as PPT generation, interview assistant, travel planning, and exercise plans.

How to use Red Skill

• Obtain eligibility: Red Skill is currently in beta, and only some tech-type creators have publishing permission.
• Creator publishing process
  • Log in to the platform: Log in to theXiaohongshu Creator Service Platform, and enter the Red Skill management page.
  • Upload files: Upload SKILL.md files or folders, choose original or reposted mode, and fill in source information.
  • Fill in information: Fill in basic information such as the Skill name, introduction, and scenario tags.
  • Submit for review: Submit for review; it is usually approved and takes effect within a few minutes.
  • Attach to note: Publish a new note or edit an existing note, and attach a reviewed Skill via "Add component → Red Skill".
• User usage process
  • Discover Skill: Browse notes with the Red Skill component on Xiaohongshu, and click the Skill widget at the end of the note.
  • View details: Enter the Skill detail page to view the feature introduction, publisher, and number of users.
  • Copy command: Click the Use button, and copy the installation command with one click in the pop-up window.
  • Paste and install: Paste the copied command into the dialog window of a supported AI Agent such as OpenClaw or Claude Code.
  • Start using: The Agent automatically installs the Red Skill store and loads the target Skill, and you can start using it.
