Seed-Thinking-v1.5

AI developer platforms

Seed-Thinking-v1.5 is a reasoning model launched by ByteDance's Seed team. It has the ability to "think first, then answer," achieving 86.7 on AIME 2024, 55.0 on Codeforces, and 77.3 on GPQA, with outstanding performance on reasoning tasks such as STEM and programming. The model uses a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture, with 20B activated parameters and 200B total parameters, making it relatively small in scale. In addition to reasoning tasks, it also demonstrates generalization ability across diverse domains, with a win rate on non-reasoning tasks 8% higher than DeepSeek R1. The team also developed two internal benchmarks, BeyondAIME and Codeforces, and plans to make them public to support subsequent research.
