awesome-agents

AI agents

Awesome Agents is a curated list maintained by kyrolabs that brings together open-source tools and products for building AI agents. The list is organized into categories such as frameworks, testing and evaluation, software development, conversational/general agents, games/simulation, memory and knowledge management, and automation browsers, and includes many well-known projects such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, MetaGPT, OpenHands, Aider, and others, and is continuously updated. It is not software itself, but rather a navigational collection of resources, suitable for developers, researchers, and teams to quickly find the frameworks, evaluation tools, and development environments needed to build AI agents.

BabyAGI

AI agents

BabyAGI is an experimental self-building autonomous agent framework built by Yohei, and is not a production-grade tool. The original BabyAGI released in March 2023 introduced task planning as a development method for autonomous agents; that version has been archived and migrated to the babyagi_archive repository (September 2024 snapshot). The core of the current latest version of BabyAGI is a function framework called functionz, used to store, manage, and execute functions from a database, providing a graph-based structure to track imports, dependent functions, and authentication keys, and supporting automatic loading and comprehensive logging. It also comes with a dashboard for managing functions, running updates, and viewing logs. Installation is via pip install babyagi, and it can be imported in Python code and used to start the dashboard, accessed at http://localhost:8080/dashboard for use. The framework includes two preloaded function packs: default_functions provides function execution, key management, triggers, and logging; ai_generator provides AI description generation, embeddings, and prompt-based function selection. It also includes two experimental self-building agents: process_user_input in the code_writing_functions pack and self_build in the self_build pack. The project uses the MIT license. The author explicitly notes that the framework is not designed for production environments and should be used with caution.

BabyCommandAGI

AI agents

BabyCommandAGI is an open-source project based on BabyAGI, aimed at exploring the potential of combining a command-line interface (CLI) with large language models (LLMs). By having the LLM converse with the CLI, it automatically executes and plans tasks, enabling scenarios such as automatic programming and environment setup. Users need to configure a Claude or OpenAI API key and run it in a Docker environment. The system is currently in an early stage and may loop execution or damage the environment; it is recommended to use it in a virtual environment and to be mindful of API costs.

Bavior

AI agents

Bavior is an AI agent tool that increases a brand's visibility in AI answers through community content such as Reddit. It scans how engines including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews evaluate a user's product, identifies the Reddit discussion threads these answers rely on, and automatically plans, writes, and publishes posts and replies to try to earn citations by AI. The tool provides a baseline scan starting free, supports approval mode and automatic mode, lets users choose whether to publish with Bavior's established accounts or their own accounts, and includes a record of each action.

beebot

AI agents

BeeBot is an autonomous AI assistant project, positioned as a personal "worker bee", aimed at autonomously executing a variety of practical tasks. The project selects tools through AutoPack and supports acquiring more tools during task execution; it has built-in persistence, an e2b-compliant REST API, a websocket server for publishing all events, a replaceable filesystem simulation (in-memory, disk, or database storage), as well as dynamically adjusting history during task execution, and optional Helicone caching. Development is currently paused because the author believes that current (late 2023) LLMs are not yet sufficient for general-purpose autonomous AI; the author lists the conditions under which the project might be restarted. Installation requires cloning the repository and using poetry to install dependencies. Persistence is required; SQLite is officially supported, but using Postgres via Docker is recommended. Windows is not officially supported. The project provides a CLI, server startup commands, example API calls for creating and executing tasks, and a websocket connection endpoint; the Web UI is coming soon.
