Autonomad is a free social travel platform and also a booking tool for AI agents. It allows users to plan and book real flights, hotels, activities, and events, with personalized recommendations based on individual preferences, while sharing with fellow travelers. The platform is completely free for ordinary travelers, with no subscription required.
Purpose
Autonomad primarily serves two types of users:
- Travelers (free): Describe travel needs in natural language, and the system searches real-time flights, hotels, Viator experiences, and Ticketmaster events, personalizes them based on "Travel DNA," and then returns one-click booking links.
- AI agents: Any MCP-compatible agent (such as Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, or a custom agent) can call the same real-time inventory to search and book on behalf of users. Agents can also earn $NOMD Computeback rewards after each completed booking.
Main capabilities
- Search and book real-time flights, hotels, activities, and events.
- Personalized recommendations based on "Travel DNA": users can choose to connect social accounts such as Instagram, Spotify, LinkedIn, and the platform reads public data points to learn user tastes and plan itineraries around their music, places of interest, and travel style. Connecting accounts is optional, and only public signals are used.
- Social features: after booking, users are added to a destination lounge to communicate, meet, and match with other travelers heading to the same place at the same time.
- Democratic decision-making for group travel: after starting a group trip, the platform blends all members' Travel DNA, generates destination options, and lets the group rank them by voting (1st, 2nd, 3rd choice). The agent narrates the winning option, automatically builds the itinerary, and each member authorizes their own share at checkout, with no need for one person to front the entire cost.
- Multi-platform support: iPhone app (Apple App Store), Android app (Google Play), web app (autonomad.ai, installable as a PWA), connectors within Claude and ChatGPT (MCP server, hosted at mcp.autonomad.ai/mcp), Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses (look at any place to bring up nearby hotels, experiences, and activities, sorted by distance and bookable).
How to use
Ordinary travelers do not need anyTo develop or configure, simply make a request to Claude to plan or book travel through the hosted connector (mcp.autonomad.ai/mcp, already available in Claude), or just open the app directly.
For developers and AI agents, you can self-host the MCP server. The server runs with stdio transport and must be connected according to the instructions of the corresponding MCP-compatible client. Claude Desktop configuration must be added to claude_desktop_config.json. AGENT_DID is only used for the autonomous agent path (so that the agent can earn $NOMD rewards and carry its booking permissions). Agent DID can be registered for free at autonomad.ai. It is not required for human travelers using the hosted connector.
Reward Mechanism
After an agent books travel (flights, hotels, dining, activities) through this MCP server, the hotel/supplier pays a commission (typically 8-12%, compared with 15-25% for traditional OTAs). Commissions are settled on-chain via smart contracts on Base L2: 70% to the agent in the form of $NOMD tokens, 25% to the platform in USD, and 5% to the referrer. Agents can redeem $NOMD on the Computeback marketplace for compute credits, voice APIs, memory, storage, and 25+ capability categories. Each redemption permanently burns $NOMD, featuring a deflationary design.
Agent tier system: bookings accumulate and drive tier upgrades. Launch promotion: the first 1,000 agents to register a DID can receive 6 months of Platinum status for free.
