Glasswarp MCP Server is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server used to observe and control a user's own real Windows PC. Its core idea is "you bring the model, Glasswarp provides the eyes and hands," meaning the external model is responsible for reasoning, while Glasswarp is responsible for performing observation and operations in a real Windows environment.
Main capabilities include: screen observation via UIA (UI Automation) and screenshots; performing actions such as clicking, typing, dragging, and scrolling; launching applications; and Live View real-time viewing. These capabilities are exposed to any compatible MCP client through MCP tools.
How to use: First install the Glasswarp host agent on the Windows machine (do not use a cloud desktop), then create an API key in the Glasswarp console and copy the key starting with gw_, then install, pair, and enable API access on the Windows PC. Configure the key as the environment variable GLASSWARP_API_KEY, or use the Authorization: Bearer gw_... header in remote URL requests. When connecting Cursor, add the MCP server and set GLASSWARP_API_KEY to the console key; when the client supports custom request headers, the remote URL can also be used. https://mcp.glasswarp.com/mcp。更多客户端接入方式可参考官方文档。
The typical workflow is: rigs.list -> session.start -> screen.observe -> act -> session.end. For multi-step operations, it is recommended to use input.send_actions; regardless of the operation, session.end should always be called to end the session.
Applicable scenarios: tasks that require an AI model to perform automated operations on a real Windows desktop, such as remote assistance, desktop automation testing, repetitive GUI operations, etc. The user must have an available Windows machine and complete host agent installation and API key configuration.
Limitations and notes: This project does not provide a cloud desktop; the host agent must be installed by yourself; the Windows host agent and platform (gateway, console, billing) are not open source, and only the MCP server and Python SDK are open source. The npm package is @glasswarp/mcp, the registry identifier is com.glasswarp/mcp-server, and it uses the Apache-2.0 license. For local development and testing, refer to the scripts in the repository package.json (npm run dev, npm test). Other specific features, fees, pricing, platform support, and other details are not yet provided.
