SuperAPI AI Directory

Agent Skills

Agent Skills is an open skill registry for AI coding agents, featuring 19,296 installable skills, scanned and updated daily. Developers can install skills into mainstream coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, and Antigravity with a single command, and they take effect automatically without restarting or additional configuration. Skills exist as pure SKILL.md files and can be freely forked, edited, and built into your own repository, and are free and open source. Each skill page provides a static security scan rating (clean/review/warn), capability markers, a GitHub source link, star count, license, and most recent commit date to help users assess trustworthiness before installation.

About this tool

Purpose

Agent Skills is an open, composable AI agent skill registry designed to provide reusable instruction sets for AI coding assistants so they can quickly gain new workflows, best practices, and domain knowledge. Developers do not need to repeatedly do prompt engineering or re-explain context; they only need to install a skill, and the AI will automatically recognize and use it on the next run.

Main Capabilities

  • Massive skill library: Features 19,296 installable skills, scanned and updated daily, covering multiple categories, tools, and technology stacks.
  • One-click installation: Each skill page provides a one-line installation command, adapted to the type of agent and to project-local or global scope.
  • Multi-agent compatibility: Supports Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, and other AI assistants.
  • Security scanning: Each skill undergoes a static security scan, with a clean / review / warn rating and capability markers that can be viewed before installation.
  • Traceable sources: Each skill links to its GitHub source, showing star count, license, and most recent commit date, and the entire directory is rescanned daily.
  • No lock-in: Skills are pure SKILL.md files that can be forked, edited, and built into your own repository, and are fully portable.
  • Developer resources: Provides a JSON API, OpenAPI description, and every page is also available as Markdown for agents.

How to Use

  1. Find a skill: Search the registry, or browse by category, tool, or technology stack, to find the capability your agent is missing.
  2. Copy the command: Each skill page provides a one-line installation command, already adapted to your agent and installation scope (project-local or global).
  3. Place it in the directory: Skills are installed as SKILL.md into the agent's skills directory, for example .claude/skills、.codex/skills , and so on.
  4. Automatic use: On the next run, the agent automatically picks up the skill, with no restart, no configuration, and no registration step.

Skill Structure

A skill is a folder containing a SKILL.md file at its root: the YAML frontmatter contains name and description, followed by specific instructions. The description is the basis for agent matching and determines whether a request activates the skill. Auxiliary files (scripts, references, templates, resources) are stored alongside SKILL.md and are read only when the skill needs them.

Loading Mechanism

Skills are installed into client-specific directories (for example, Claude Code's .claude/skills/<name>), supporting project or global scope. In each round of conversation, the agent sees the available skill names and descriptions, and only loads the full instructions when a request matches. Therefore, skills are more resource-efficient than long system prompts: details remain on disk until they become relevant.

How the registry is built

Each entry is a SKILL.md that actually exists in a public repository. Entries come with a verified source URL and the commit date when the content was read. Each skill page shows the actual file rather than a paraphrase, making it easy to judge the instruction content before installation. Pages that cannot be traced to an active source are excluded rather than filled in. If a source moves, the entry is re-resolved or deleted.

Use cases

Suitable for developers who want to quickly extend the capabilities of AI coding agents, for example by adding best practices for a specific framework, code review processes, security audit rules, deployment workflows, and so on. It is also suitable for teams to encapsulate internal standards as skills to unify agent behavior.

Limitations

Skills run with the agent's permissions, so trust is crucial; before installation, you should review the security scan rating and source code. The registry itself does not provide guarantees about the specific functionality of skills, and users need to evaluate them themselves. Specific information such as fees and pricing is not currently provided in the materials.
