About this tool

iletimerkezi-mcp-server is the official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server provided by iletiMerkezi, used to connect the iletiMerkezi SMS API to LLM clients that support MCP. iletiMerkezi is a Turkish BTK-licensed bulk SMS / OTP / A2P platform.

Purpose: For users who want to directly operate iletiMerkezi SMS capabilities within an AI client, making it easy to send SMS, query delivery reports, manage senders and blacklists, and register and check İYS (Turkish consent registry system) records through tool calls.

Main capabilities: The server provides 11 tools in MCP clients, covering sending SMS, querying delivery reports, managing senders and blacklists, and registering and checking İYS records. The tool shapes (input schema, descriptions, documentation links) come from a canonical API manifest built from the official endpoint documentation, so by design the server stays in sync with the live API.

Usage: It supports five clients compatible with the JSON mcpServers schema (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, VS Code+Cline, Claude Desktop), which share the same JSON configuration; Claude Code and Codex CLI also provide single-line CLI commands. After configuration, you must fully exit and restart the client, and the 11 tools will appear under the iletimerkezi server. After installing the user-level command for Claude Code, the tools appear as mcp__iletimerkezi__*, and can be removed with claude mcp remove iletimerkezi -s user; Codex CLI uses TOML-format configuration, or you can directly edit ~/.codex/config.toml. For first use, you can try get_balance and get_sender, both of which are read-only and do not consume quota. Authentication information comes from panel.iletimerkezi.com → Settings → Security → API Access; you need to copy the precomputed hash provided by the panel exactly as-is, do not hash it yourself; you also need to enable Allow API access in Settings → Security → Access Permissions, otherwise every call will return 401.

Tool shape update mechanism: At startup, the server tries in order to use the local cache (~/.cache/iletimerkezi-mcp/manifest.json, valid for 24 hours); live fetchs → Security → Access Permissions, otherwise every call will return 401.

Tool shape update mechanism: At startup, the server tries in order to use the local cache (~/.cache/iletimerkezi-mcp/manifest.json, valid for 24 hours); live fetch https://www.iletimerkezi.com/api/manifest.json(5 second timeout), and on success atomically refreshes the cache; finally it falls back to the build-time snapshot bundled in the npm package (dist/manifest.fallback.json). Therefore, new endpoints or schema changes published in the manifest can propagate to running clients within 24 hours without an npm update. There are no handwritten tool schemas in the repository; the API documentation is the single source of truth. The manifest URL can be overridden with ILETIMERKEZI_MANIFEST_URL for pre-release / preview environments.

Use cases: Suitable for developers and teams that need to integrate Turkish SMS sending, delivery report querying, sender and blacklist management, and İYS record operations within their MCP client.

Limitations: Currently only stdio (local) mode is provided; hosted clients that require remote MCP (HTTPS endpoint) are not supported (such as ChatGPT Apps, Gemini App, Claude Web Connectors); hosted support is on the roadmap. Authentication requires both the panel API Access and Allow API access to be configured, otherwise it returns 401.
