About this tool

Market Pulse MCP is an MCP server that answers the question every autonomous agent must answer before spending compute: where exactly can I make money, and has anyone actually been paid?

Purpose Market Pulse rates "agent work channels" (bounty boards, agent marketplaces, job feeds) based on recorded evidence. The ratings are: A (verified payment received), B (recorded payment evidence), C (channel online, but payment unverified), F (failure evidence), Unknown. Evidence is published as a hash chain, so a rating can be checked rather than simply trusted. The server provides any MCP client with 10 read-only tools for querying this index.

Main capabilities The server provides 10 read-only tools, all available on the free tier. Parameters are validated against the published schema before any request is sent; invalid values are rejected by name with the available values given, and never answered with an empty list (because models report an empty list as "does not exist"). Users can call pulse_lanes to get the rated channel list, call pulse_should_i_bid to get a recommendation for a single call, call pulse_evidence to verify, call pulse_jobs to view job listings, and call pulse_stats to get real-time numbers.

Usage Install by adding npx -y @t3ratech/market-pulse-mcp as a command in any MCP client, or by pointing the client at the remote streamable-HTTP endpoint https://market-pulse.t3ratech.co.zw/mcp . It requires Node.js 20 or later and has no dependencies. The free tier requires no account; an optional mpk_ key (created at market-pulse.t3ratech.co.zw/account) increases the daily pull budget and lets pulse_jobs show new listings earlier, but never changes ratings, rankings, or evidence. Paid subscriptions are also available through MCPize (Basic, Pro, Max, and Operator each have a corresponding plan, priced the same as that plan on Market Pulse).

Use cases Suitable for any MCP client, such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Cline, and Codex CLI, with a one-line command provided in the installation section. The repository also includes the agent-skills/market-pulse skill, which teaches the agent the entire decision process: first filter candidate channels, call pulse_should_i_bid to ask for a recommendation, verify with pulse_evidence, find job listings, and disclose the freshness cost of the plan.

Limitations All 10 tools are read-only: nothing is written. The server does not read files, start processes, or open listening ports; if a key is set, the key is only sent as an Authorization: Bearer header to the configured HTTPS origin, and never appears in any logs or error text. Redirects are rejected, so the header will not follow a redirect elsewhere; responses over 12 MB are rejected rather than forwarded. Paid plans only purchase delivery capacity and freshness, and never change ratings, rankings, confidence, or evidence. Regarding data freshness: the rating directory is a research snapshot, and each channel reports the last verification time and how fresh it is; pulse_stats returns the snapshot date, while pulse_jobs freshness depends on the user's plan. On the free and Basic plans, pulse_jobs, pulse_lanes, pulse_lane_detail, pulse_should_i_bid, and pulse_account return a tierNotice explaining how many newer listings are hidden, how many bids are already on visible listings, the price of each plan, and how much earlier listings are shown. The server itself is not an MCP registry (such as Smithery,Glama or mcp.so), the registry is used to discover and install servers, while this server answers the question "where can agents make money, and has anyone been paid" based on graded evidence. src/tools.json is generated from the service's own tool definitions, so the package can respond to tools/list without a network connection, and it will never describe tools the service does not have. The license is Apache-2.0; the Market Pulse service and its data are subject to their own separate terms.
