About this tool

Kinetix is an AI research company focused on understanding and generating human motion, positioned as "a research lab pioneering cutting-edge 3D and human motion intelligence." Its technical approach combines 3D and machine learning, with research focuses including human pose estimation, computer vision, and the foundational components of 3D character workflows.

In terms of core capabilities, Kinetix has built cutting-edge generative models and core character animation technology, and has developed Kamo-1 — a 3D-conditioned video generation model. Kamo-1 is designed to bring physical grounding and precise control to AI video generation, supporting multiple conditional inputs: 3D camera trajectories, 3D character animations reconstructed from RGB performance videos, reference images, and natural language prompts. By jointly conditioning on camera trajectories and 3D animation, the model can coordinate control of camera motion and character motion within the same generated shot. Rather than treating the scene as unconstrained pixels, it uses depth and pose estimation as control signals, thereby generating videos consistent with the underlying spatial layout and articulated motion. Its pipeline supports reconstructing a scene, placing 3D character meshes, animating them over time, and rendering the final video through a flow-matching generation process.

In terms of usage, Kinetix's technology is provided to developers and creators in an integrated manner. Its video-to-animation model has been natively integrated into Unity's Muse AI service, enabling game developers to generate 3D animations; this video-to-animation capability has also been packaged by KRAFTON as the "Emote Creator" within the OVERDARE game, allowing players to create custom animations, for which Kinetix provides a moderation system; in addition, Kinetix licenses and integrates its 3D animation models and technology into Adobe Mixamo, enabling creators to animate characters with AI.

Applicable scenarios include 3D animation generation in game development, player-created custom emote animations, and character animation production, among others. The Kinetix team is composed of engineers, scientists, and strategy personnel, and has spent the past five years building foundational models for 3D human animation, learning structure, rhythm, and emotion in three-dimensional motion.
