X-R1 is a low-cost training framework based on end-to-end reinforcement learning, designed to accelerate the development of Scaling Post-Training. Inspired by DeepSeek-R1 and open-r1, it can train a 0.5B-scale R1-Zero model from a base model at extremely low cost, and exhibits the "Aha Moment" phenomenon. The framework supports LoRA training, and training for 1 hour on 4 3090/4090 GPUs costs less than $7, with the "Aha Moment" observable within 10 minutes. X-R1 supports larger-scale models such as 0.5B, 1.5B, 3B, 7B, 32B, provides 0.75k, 1.5k, and 7.5k datasets to accelerate the training loop, and supports GRPO online sampling data logging, LoRA+Zero3, medical-domain rewards, llm-as-a-reward, and MATH500 benchmark evaluation. The project is continuously updated, with released 0.5B, 1.5B, 3B models and inference configurations, and has verified the effectiveness of reinforcement learning in incentivizing the model's reasoning and format-following abilities without supervised fine-tuning (without-SFT).
