Monster Mash

AI design

Monster Mash is a sketch-based 3D modeling and animation tool that allows users to quickly draw a character, inflate it into a 3D model, and immediately animate it, all done on the sketch plane without the need for 3D manipulation. The demo program was released together with the paper "Monster Mash: A Single-View Approach to Casual 3D Modeling and Animation" by Dvorožňák et al. (ACM Transactions on Graphics 39(6):214, SIGGRAPH Asia 2020). The source code is licensed under Apache-2.0, and the demo program is free for evaluation and research purposes. It runs in modern browsers that support WebAssembly and WebGL 1.0, and a stylus on a tablet is recommended for the best experience. The tool provides three basic modes: draw, inflate, and animate.

According to official materials, it provides scenario modeling, dynamic headcount forecasting, and automated planning workflows to help finance and human resources teams collaborate in aligning teams, controlling costs, and driving growth. Its capabilities include: 30+ real-time data integrations, seamless Bob headcount integration, 150+ out-of-the-box metrics and a custom metric builder; real-time people data sync, collaborative departmental budgeting, a linked three-statement model, and vendor-level BvA analysis; and support for AI-enhanced workflows to identify performance drivers, summarize trends, and quickly generate board materials. It also supports unlimited what-if scenario planning, allowing modeling of revenue, headcount, operating expenses, and cash. It is officially described as the first mid-market FP&A tool fully integrated within an HCM platform, capable of replacing manual spreadsheets. Bob Finance is currently undergoing a redesign and will return in a few months; in the meantime, other Bob platform modules can be explored.
