mcp-servers-kagi is a TypeScript-based Model Context Protocol (MCP) server implementation for integrating the Kagi Search API. It provides tools to MCP-compatible clients (such as Claude Desktop) through the MCP protocol, enabling AI assistants to perform web searches. The project currently implements the kagi_search tool, which supports passing in a query string and an optional result count limit, and returns search results from the Kagi API. In addition, the project plans but has not yet implemented three tools: kagi_summarize (webpage/text summarization), kagi_fastgpt (fast responses), and kagi_enrich (enhanced news results). Before use, a Kagi API key must be configured. It can be installed via Smithery or built manually, and supports debugging with MCP Inspector. The project uses the MIT license and welcomes contributions.
