Purpose
wsb-analyst-mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to provide Claude or other LLM clients with real-time data from the Reddit WallStreetBets (WSB) community for market analysis and discussion tracking. It connects WSB data to LLMs through the MCP protocol, enabling models to directly query, filter, and analyze post content.
Main Capabilities
- Fetch WSB posts: Supports filtering by score (min_score), number of comments (min_comments), return count (limit), and excluded flairs (excluded_flairs).
- Detailed post analysis: Can extract comments, links, and metadata for specified posts.
- Batch post details: Efficiently fetch detailed information for multiple posts.
- External link collection: Collect all external links from popular posts.
- Trending ticker identification: Returns a list of stock tickers frequently mentioned in recent popular WSB posts.
- Analysis templates: Provides ready-to-use prompt templates (such as /analyze_wsb_market, /find_market_movers) to guide LLMs in market analysis.
- Progress reporting: Provides real-time progress updates during data collection.
- MCP integration: Seamlessly integrates with Claude Desktop and other MCP clients.

- /find_market_movers: Creates prompts focused on specific stocks or overall market movements, guiding the LLM to use tools such as find_top_posts and fetch_post_details or fetch_batch_post_details.
Integration with Firecrawl MCP Server
To enhance analytical capabilities, especially when handling external links in WSB posts, this server can be integrated with the Firecrawl MCP Server. This allows the LLM agent to not only identify links shared on WSB, but also scrape and analyze the content of the linked pages.
Use Cases
- Financial analysis: Track popular stocks and market sentiment in the WallStreetBets community.
- Market research: Analyze discussion trends, external links, and stock tickers in posts.
- LLM enhancement: Provide real-time WSB data for models such as Claude, expanding their financial domain knowledge.
Limitations
- Users need to apply for Reddit API credentials themselves and configure them.
- Depends on Python 3.12+ and an MCP client (such as Claude Desktop).
- Use must comply with the Reddit API terms and the MCP protocol.
- Specific fees, pricing, platform compatibility, etc. are not provided in the materials.
