About this tool

MockLive AI is an AI platform for speaking practice through live voice, designed to help users master high-stakes human conversations.

Main Uses

MockLive AI is used to simulate real conversation scenarios, letting users practice before they actually face them. These scenarios include: job interviews, IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo, and OET speaking exams, U.S. visa interviews, presentations, and sales calls.

Main Capabilities

The platform is divided into four rooms:

  • MockLive Interviews: Practice interviews. Choose a role, round, and interviewer, then answer out loud. The AI follows up on weak parts of your answers, watches you code, and provides a scored playback against the rubric afterward. It covers software engineering, product management, data science and machine learning, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, residency interviews, NHS doctor interviews, and any role you specify. There are 21 interviewers. It supports live coding that actually runs.

  • MockLive Exams: Exam simulation. Timed and scored like the real exam. You can fully simulate every section of IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or the Duolingo English Test, get the score you would get, and get advice on whether you should register. It includes the Duolingo English Test, U.S. visa interviews, and UK pre-CAS interviews. It uses real scoring standards. 20 mock sets, valid for one year.

  • MockLive Roleplay: Roleplay. Practice conversations you only get one chance at. For example sales discovery, objection handling, customer success, support de-escalation, and manager feedback. Have a live call with someone who pushes back, then get a briefing that quotes what you said and what it cost you. An annotated briefing is provided.

  • MockLive Speaking: Presentation practice. Upload your slides, specify the audience in the room, deliver a timed presentation, take questions, and review page by page what worked. It includes impromptu speaking, toasts and speeches, lectures, and teaching. Slide files are never stored.

How to Use

Users choose a room and a specific scenario, then converse through live voice. The platform uses semantic turn-taking technology to decide whether you are finished speaking based on what you are saying, rather than waiting for silence. Speculative response technology starts drafting a reply and synthesizing the first sentence before you have finished speaking. You can interrupt just as you would a real person. Echo cancellation lets you use your laptop speakers without headphones. Two models handle live conversation and post-session scoring separately: a fast model drives the live conversation, and a deep model evaluates the entire session after it ends.

Suitable Scenarios

Suitable for people preparing for job interviews, English speaking exams, visa interviews, sales calls, presentations, and other high-stakes conversations.

Limitations

Each room offers one free session (a quick simulation for exams). After that, the interview room costs 466 yuan per session, the exam room costs 390 yuan per mock (20 full mock sets, valid for one year), the roleplay room costs 450 yuan per call (monthly subscription, cancel anytime), and the speaking room costs 290 yuan per rehearsal (slides are never stored). All scores and quotes are based on what the user actually said, with no exaggeration and no fabrication. Recordings and transcripts belong only to the user.
