LLM Pulse MCP Server is a public metadata repository for the hosted server that the LLM Pulse platform provides to MCP clients. LLM Pulse is an AI visibility analytics platform for monitoring brand mentions, citations, sentiment, competitor share of voice, and GEO performance across AI search engines.
Purpose This repository provides a small runnable wrapper for accessing the hosted LLM Pulse MCP server, enabling MCP-capable clients to call LLM Pulse's analytics tools. The repository itself does not contain LLM Pulse private application source code; it contains only public metadata and the wrapper.
Main capabilities According to the repository description, this MCP server provides the following data and dimensions: project and competitor dimensions; AI visibility, mention rate, citation rate, and weighted visibility metrics; brand mentions, citations, sources, sentiment, and prompt execution data; share of voice and top sources analysis; and, where plan permissions allow, recommendations, GEO Writer, Search Console, and AI traffic data.
Usage The hosted MCP endpoint uses Streamable HTTP transport, with Bearer token authentication. The hosted endpoint also supports OAuth 2.0, with automatic discovery and dynamic client registration, for compatible clients. Users need to create an LLM Pulse API key in the application and send it as a Bearer token. API keys are available only on the Scale plan and above.
The local MCP wrapper can run with an API key to expose the hosted LLM Pulse MCP tools via stdio. If LLMPULSE_API_KEY is not set, the wrapper still starts and exposes a read-only setup/status tool, allowing the registry to verify that the server starts and responds to MCP introspection without a key.
The repository is also a portable Agent Plugin that can be installed into multiple clients:
- Gemini CLI: connects to the hosted endpoint and opens the LLM Pulse OAuth flow when authentication is required.
- GitHub Copilot and VS Code: in VS Code, run Chat: Install Plugin From Source from the Command Palette and enter the repository address; the Agent Plugin will register the hosted LLM Pulse MCP server for GitHub Copilot and use its OAuth login flow.
- Kiro Power and Agent Plugin: in Kiro, select Powers → Add Custom Power → Import power from GitHub and enter the repository address; Kiro connects to the hosted server and handles the OAuth login flow.
Use cases Suitable for users who need to monitor brand visibility in AI search engines, track mentions and citations, analyze sentiment and competitor share of voice, and evaluate GEO performance, as well as scenarios where users want to access LLM Pulse analytics capabilities through MCP clients such as Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, and Kiro.
Limitations The repository does not contain LLM Pulse private application source code. API keys are available only on the Scale plan and above, and some data (recommendations, GEO Writer, Search Console, AI traffic) requires plan permissions. Without an API key, only the read-only setup/status tool can be used. Other specific feature details, pricing, and platform support are not currently provided.
