PostWire MCP is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for publishing AI agent-generated content to multiple social media platforms. Its core purpose is to let Claude, Cursor, or any AI agent publish natively formatted posts to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages, YouTube, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, and Discord from just one idea, instead of copy-pasting the same text to nine platforms. X and Reddit are currently unavailable.
Main capabilities:
- Multi-platform publishing: Supports TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages, YouTube, LinkedIn (personal profile), Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, and Discord.
- Hosted remote MCP server: Available via https://postwire.io/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP, supporting OAuth 2.1 login or Authorization: Bearer pw_live_… authentication), providing 15 tools, including plan_week, schedule_post, and create_upload_link.
- Local npm installation: The MCP server can be run locally via npm.
- Client integration: Supports Claude (listed in the Claude connector directory, and can also be added as a custom connector), Claude Code (using the command claude mcp add --transport http postwire https://postwire.io/api/mcp)、Cursor、VS Code, Windsurf, etc.
- Official MCP registry: io.github.Perufitlife/postwire-mcp.
- Preflight rejection: If a video network lacks a video, text exceeds the platform limit, or an account is not connected, a clear error is returned before publishing, avoiding the situation where some posts succeed and others fail silently.
- Account connection: Connect TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Pages, YouTube, and LinkedIn (personal profile) with one OAuth click; Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, and Discord are connected via tokens or webhooks. PostWire already holds platform approvals (TikTok Direct Post review, Meta App Review, Google verification for youtube.upload), so users do not need their own developer apps.
- Billing method: Billed by brand rather than by network. After connecting one business, all of its accounts are included. One post is billed once per network. Paid plans offer a 14-day refund. See postwire.io/pricing for current prices.
How to use:
- Get a free API key at postwire.io/dashboard.html and connect accounts (one OAuth click).
- Add the MCP server to an MCP client (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, etc. each have their own setup method).
- If there is no key, the list_platforms tool can still respond, so you can check support before signing up.
- If you do not want to run an MCP client, all functions of the MCP server are ordinary HTTP calls and can be used directly through the REST interface.
Use cases:
- AI agents automatically publishing social media content.
- Marketing teams or individuals who need to publish natively formatted posts across multiple platforms.
- Users who use AI tools such as Claude and Cursor for content creation and distribution.
Limitations:
- X and Reddit are currently unavailable.
- Platform accounts need to be connected; some platforms use OAuth, and some use tokens or webhooks.
- The specific limits of the free plan are not currently provided.
- Paid plan prices need to be checked on the official website; the current prices are not yet given as specific numbers in the materials.
