Rap Duo AI is an online AI rap video generator for making short videos of "two people rapping back and forth in a recording studio." It targets the viral "two people rapping in a studio" format common on platforms such as TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, generating brand-new performances, beats, and lyrics for each video rather than pasting faces onto someone else's existing clips.
Main capabilities
- Two photo inputs: one corresponding to the left rapper (who raps first), and one for the right. The two photos do not need to have been taken together, and friends in different cities can also use it; if you only have one photo of the two people together, it can also be used.
- Short video generation: duration can be 5, 10, or 15 seconds; aspect ratio can be vertical 9:16, widescreen 16:9, or square 1:1; resolution can be 480p or 720p.
- Original audio: the beat, lyrics, and vocals are all regenerated for each video, not copied from someone else's track.
- Themes and lyrics: there are five built-in themes, Hype, Roast, Love, Birthday, and Congrats, and each theme contains multiple handwritten lyric sections with names embedded. You can also choose "Write with AI," using a short description to have the AI generate three versions to choose from and edit, or you can revise it line by line yourself or write your own. Lyrics are in English, and names use English letters (including accents such as é), numbers, spaces, apostrophes, or hyphens.
- Scene selection: Orange Booth (classic orange recording studio), Neon Studio, Birthday Party, Front Seat (rapping in a car), and Halloween; each scene costs the same. Choosing the Birthday theme automatically switches to the Birthday Party scene, and it can also be changed back.
- Video saving: after generation, it can be downloaded, and completed videos are saved in "My videos."
How to use
- Upload two photos: one for the left rapper and one for the right.
- Choose a theme, and you can add up to two names; if you want it more personalized, you can describe the two people and have the AI write the lyrics (free, and every line can be edited).
- Choose the duration, aspect ratio, resolution, and scene, then click Generate. It usually takes about 2–4 minutes to generate a video with synchronized vocals. You can leave the page, and when it is complete the video is saved in My videos.
Photo requirements: each photo should contain only one person or animal; the face should be clearly visible and generally facing the camera; lighting should be even and natural; it is best to use a half-body or full-body shot so that the in-studio composition looks natural. Avoid group photos (more than two faces), sunglasses, masks, or hands covering the face,Dim/blurry/heavily filtered photos, as well as photos of children, celebrities, or people who have not consented. One clear frontal photo per person or animal is required; the two photos do not need to be taken together. A single photo of two people together also works (exactly two people or two pets side by side, with both faces clear), but two separate photos usually look more like the individuals.
Use cases
Any "two faces" combination works: friends, couples, family, pets, etc. For example, praising or roasting each other, a couple's anniversary or a love song that "just needs to be said," two dogs, a cat and its owner, animal combinations like a grandma and a parrot, or a birthday rap (with the birthday person's name written into the chorus).
Technical implementation
Rap Duo AI uses the ByteDance Seedance video model (each video can be generated with a choice among Seedance 2.0 Mini, Seedance 2.0, and Seedance 2.5) to generate video, music, and synchronized vocals. Lyrics come from its own templates, or, when Write with AI is selected, are generated by a Google Gemini text model. Rap Duo AI is an independent service and is not an official ByteDance product.
Pricing and refunds
No app installation and no subscription are required; you pay by credits: 100 credits for $4.99, 300 credits for $12.99. Videos consume credits by the second, depending on the AI model and quality; the shortest, lowest-cost videos start at 15 credits, so the largest credit pack can generate up to 20 videos. No free generations are offered, but you only pay for successful videos; credits are automatically refunded for failed videos. Credits never expire; unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days (see the refund policy for details).
Restrictions and content guidelines
- Only photos of consenting adults may be used—yourself, consenting friends, or family members. Photos of celebrities, public figures, or children are prohibited. Confirmation via a checkbox is required before each generation.
- The terms prohibit pornographic/NSFW content, violence/gore, hate speech, child-unsafe content/CSAM, unauthorized or deceptive deepfakes/impersonation, and copyright/trademark infringement. Every person appearing must be at least 18 years old and consent.
- Names and lyrics are screened; user-written or user-edited lyrics are checked by AI before generation.
- Generated music and vocals are AI-generated and should be disclosed when shared; generating new audio does not guarantee that the output is free of third-party rights. TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube all require creators to disclose realistic AI-generated content.
- Original photos are automatically deleted within 24 hours and are not used to train AI models; when logged in, only you can view completed videos.
- If generation fails, credits can be automatically refunded and you can retry; replacing photos with clearer ones often solves the problem.
- Google login does not work in the in-app browsers of TikTok/Instagram; you need to open the page in Safari or Chrome; tap the "···" menu in the top-right corner and select "Open in browser."
