Clark Reads

Clark Reads is an AI chat analysis tool for WhatsApp and iMessage. After users upload a chat export file, it reads through the entire conversation, generates a long written report, and attaches the original words from the chat next to each conclusion so the reasoning can be easily verified. It supports group chats and by default analyzes each participant one by one. Before upload, photos, videos, and voice messages are stripped on the local device; after upload, text content is deleted on a scheduled basis, is not used to train AI, and is not sold or shared. The opening and first chapter can be previewed for free with no credit card required; the full report costs a one-time fee of $9.90 with no subscription. Reports are shared via a unique link that is a 32-character random string and is not indexed by search engines. Reports are thinner when there are fewer than 300 messages, readable at 300 to 1,500 messages, and work better at 1,500 to 8,000 messages. Processing time ranges from about 1 minute to at most 8 minutes. An email address must be provided and verified to receive the report.

About this tool

Clark Reads is an AI chat analysis tool focused mainly on WhatsApp and iMessage conversations. It reads the full chat history uploaded by the user, writes a long report in plain language, and links each finding to specific original words in the chat so users can check for themselves whether the reasoning holds up.

Main Capabilities

  • Reads through the entire exported conversation, covering all messages in order, including roles, interactions, jokes, and periods of silence, without sampling or skipping.
  • Supports group chats and by default analyzes each participant in a group chat, making it suitable for family groups, friend groups, work teams, couples, and exes.
  • The report does not provide scores or sentiment labels, but instead presents written interpretation with original quotations, so users can disagree with the reasoning rather than a score.
  • Quotations are the original words from the chat, verified against the source text and not rewritten.

How to Use

  1. Prepare a chat export file: for WhatsApp, use its own exported .zip or .txt file; for iMessage, use a plain text file prepared by the user, as there is currently no official export tool.
  2. Upload the conversation: media content in WhatsApp export files is stripped in the browser, so photos, videos, and voice messages are not sent to the server. Up to 20,000 messages are supported.
  3. After upload, you can immediately see the message count and signal strength. Below 300 messages, reports are thinner, and the service will warn before payment; 300 to 1,500 messages are readable, 1,500 to 8,000 messages work better, and more messages let the analysis see the complete thread.
  4. Preview and payment: the opening and the first half of the first chapter are free, with no credit card required; the full report costs a one-time fee of $9.90 for that report, with no subscription and no tiered options.
  5. Receive the report: an email address must be provided and verified, and you will be notified by email once the report is complete. Processing time ranges from about 1 minute (under 1,000 messages) to about 3 minutes (10,000 to 20,000 messages), and up to about 8 minutes for larger volumes; the page can be closed during this time.

Use Cases

  • Wanting a long, source-based written interpretation from a group chat or two-person conversation.
  • Analyzing multi-person interactions, not just a single relationship.
  • Reviewing and sorting through interaction patterns, turning points, or periods of silence in a chat.

Data and Privacy

  • Deletion schedule: deleted within 48 hours if no report is ordered; deleted within 7 days after the most recent report is completed.
  • Not used to train AI models, not sold, and not shared.
  • The account and all its content can be deleted with one click. If a new file is uploaded to replace a stillConversations for which no report is generated will have the original conversation discarded.
  • Uploading occurs before an email address is provided, and the deletion plan also covers conversations in unfinished flows.

Sharing Restrictions

Reports have a separate link, but it will not leave the account unless the user actively sends it; the report and sharing page are marked as noindex, and the link is a 32-character random string that cannot be guessed. After the report is unlocked, anyone with the link can view it, so the link itself should be treated as the report.

Limitations and Notes

  • This tool is not psychotherapy, not legal advice, and not a way to learn what others "really" think; it only reports what is presented in the messages.
  • iMessage does not currently provide an official export tool.
  • When the message volume is below 300, the report is relatively thin, and the official service will prompt before payment.
  • An email address is required to receive the report, and it must be verified.
  • For an explanation of the analysis method, the official documentation also includes a separate introduction titled "How Clark Reads Chats."

Pricing

The full report costs a one-time fee of $9.90, with no subscription. The free preview requires no credit card.
