About this tool

Off-Nadir Delta MCP is a real-time event and geospatial intelligence MCP server provided by Off-Nadir-Lab, aimed at AI agents and serving OSINT, geopolitical risk, and GEOINT work. Its core positioning is "from first signal to satellite evidence": enabling AI agents to discover events, verify reports, identify missing evidence, determine whether satellites can actually resolve them, and produce collection plans that can be used directly. This intelligence comes with source links, is geolocated, and stays up to date, rather than being a training data snapshot.

Main capabilities

  • Monitor and geolocate emerging events worldwide.
  • Cross-verify various claims against open data with source links, and report the breadth of sources behind each claim.
  • Assess whether an event can be observed from space, the required resolution, and the applicable sensors.
  • Return actionable collection recommendations: what to collect, where to collect it, and when to collect it.
  • Provide a Daily World Brief, event changes, and the day's situation.
  • Support continuous coverage monitoring, notifying only when the answer changes.

Suitable task directions include: understanding what is happening, what has changed, and what today's situation is; determining whether a satellite can distinguish an event, by which satellite, and the next overpass time; turning reports into citation assessments that can be audited afterward; and pre-checking token balance before metered calls.

How to use Hosted server (recommended): no installation required. Point any MCP client to the remote endpoint and approve once via OAuth 2.1 (dynamic client registration is supported; most clients only need to provide the URL). In the Claude or ChatGPT app: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste the URL. Cursor and VS Code offer one-click installation on the documentation page.

Local stdio package: use when the client cannot perform remote OAuth, or when you want to keep the API key in an environment variable and pin the version. The API key can be obtained at offnadir-delta.com/account/api. This package forwards tools/call along with the key to the hosted server; tools/list is answered locally from the generated catalog, making it easy for registries to introspect without credentials.

First call is free: 11 of the 22 tools are free, so the first run's content is free. For example, you can request the latest Daily World Brief, ask it to first list the three most important developments, explain why each matters, and cite supporting signals; then you can tryTry the complete "signal to satellite" workflow: identify the highest-priority and observable event in the past 24 hours, verify the reporting, and recommend the best available satellite collection plan.

Tools and metering notes

  • Pricing uses usage-based Delta tokens, consistent across REST and MCP.
  • Each metered result comes with the exact cost it actually incurred, generated from the same constants read by the billing program. Free tools do not touch the balance.
  • ask_analyst is hybrid asynchronous: it returns a job_id immediately after enqueueing; use get_analyst_job to poll (free, the run is billed once upon completion). Most questions complete in about 30-90 seconds; briefings involving satellite imagery queries or many sources may take 2-3 minutes.
  • The API and MCP server are available on all plans (including the free plan), with the only limit being the token balance. You can call get_usage (free) for a pre-check. Current limits and plan prices are at offnadir-delta.com/pricing.

Credentials and security The hosted endpoint accepts two kinds of credentials:

  • OAuth 2.1 (with PKCE and dynamic client registration) - for interactive clients.
  • Bearer API key (Authorization: Bearer ond_...) - for servers, CI, and this stdio package. Keys are shown only once at creation, stored encrypted at rest, and can be revoked at any time at /account/api.

Tools and reference

  • See the project documentation page for the tool reference, installation, and one-click install.
  • There is also a REST API reference, OpenAPI, changelog, and compatibility policy.
  • A live server version probe is provided that requires no authentication and consumes no tokens.

The current server provides 22 tools, and the MCP server version is 5.1.0. More details on specific category assignments, applicable scenarios, specific plan prices, and the tool list are not fully provided in the materials.
