Alibaba Cloud Ops MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides seamless integration with Alibaba Cloud APIs, enabling AI assistants to operate resources on Alibaba Cloud and to analyze, build, and deploy applications to Alibaba Cloud ECS instances.

- ECS management: Create, start, stop, restart, and delete instances, run commands, and view instances, regions, availability zones, images, security groups, and more.
- VPC management: View VPCs and VSwitches.
- RDS management: List, start, stop, and restart RDS instances.

Usage
You can configure the MCP server in VS Code + Cline, or manually add the configuration in any other MCP client and restart for it to take effect. For specific parameter descriptions, refer to the MCP startup parameters documentation. This project is listed on the Alibaba Cloud Model Studio MCP marketplace and supports out-of-the-box use.
A typical deployment workflow includes:
- Project analysis: Use LOCAL_AnalyzeDeployStack to identify the project technology stack and deployment method.
- Build artifacts: Build or package the application locally (for example, create a tar.gz or zip file).
- Deploy application: Use OOS_CodeDeploy to deploy the application to ECS instances. If the application and application group do not exist, they are created automatically, the artifact is uploaded to OSS, and it is deployed to the specified ECS instance.
- Monitor deployment: Use OOS_GetDeployStatus to check the deployment status.
