Purpose
Ren is an AI leadership coach designed for founders and CEOs of growing companies. The core problem it solves is this: when managers avoid difficult conversations, work concentrates on a few top employees, causing those people to burn out or leave, while other team members lack opportunities to grow, ultimately harming the entire organization. Ren connects to Slack and Teams, works with each manager and their team members, points out which conversations should happen, and provides opening wording so that work no longer falls on only a few people.
Main Capabilities
- Conversation reminders and wording suggestions: Ren observes small signals in team communication, such as when someone's contribution is mentioned by others to each other but not directly acknowledged, when someone repeatedly takes on extra work without declining, or when a one-on-one meeting is postponed again and again. It generates a short prioritized list for each manager: who should hear recognition, which conversation is overdue, and how to open it.
- For everyone: Not only managers, but team members can also use Ren to get the wording needed to proactively give feedback, express disagreement, and give recognition to others.
- Accountability conversation framework: Ren is based on the "The Accountability Dial" methodology, which includes five conversation approaches from lightest to heaviest, helping users start with the lightest approach, stay tough on the issue and kind to the person, with the goal of making the other person accountable for their own growth rather than mere compliance.
- Data privacy: Ren's conversations are private to each person, it does not read anyone's direct messages, and reports are presented by team rather than by name.
How to Use
Users add Ren to selected Slack or Teams channels, and setup takes about two minutes. Ren automatically organizes the conversations that need attention and prompts with wording. Anyone can describe work situations to Ren, and Ren helps find the right way to express them. Ren only handles work scenarios, and content is private by default; unless the user actively sends it, it will not be shared with anyone.
