Purpose
echoloc-mcp is a remote MCP server for echoloc's company intelligence dataset, allowing AI agents to query company technographics. The problem it solves is: most technographic data comes from scraping website source code, which only reveals front-end tools; echoloc instead reads what companies say about themselves in job postings, thus covering back-end, data, cloud, and AI toolchains.
Main Capabilities
- Search 760,000+ companies by tech stack.
- Provide direction of technology change: each company profile includes tech_adopting, tech_replacing, and tech_evaluating arrays, rather than just static "uses X" tags.
- Hiring signals: open roles, hiring velocity, departments, executive hiring.
- Enterprise firmographic data.
- Depth: 360,000+ companies have identified tech stacks, covering 10,000+ technologies, refreshed daily.
- All tools are read-only (readOnlyHint: true).
How to Use
- Endpoint:https://api.echoloc.ai/mcp(Streamable HTTP, stateless)
- Registry name: ai.echoloc/company-technographics
- Authentication: X-API-Key request header (also accepts Authorization: Bearer)
- Free Key: 100 requests/month, available instantly—sign up at echoloc.ai/app/api and copy it.
- Discovery (initialize, tools/list) requires no Key; each tool call consumes 1 credit.
Can be used with Cursor or any MCP client. You can ask questions such as:
- Which financial-services companies are adopting Snowflake right now?
- Pull the tech stack and hiring signals for walgreens.com.
- Which companies are actively replacing VMware?
stdio Bridge (Claude Desktop, local runners)
For MCP clients that only support stdio, this repository provides a dependency-free bridge script, mcp_stdio_bridge.py, which forwards JSON-RPC to the hosted server.
Raw JSON-RPC Example

Use Cases
- AI agents performing company tech stack retrieval and sales/market intelligence analysis.
- Querying companies in an industry that are adopting a certain technology.
- Retrieving the tech stack and hiring signals for a specified domain.
- Finding companies that are replacing a certain technology.
Limitations
- Free Key is limited to 100 requests/month; each tool call consumes 1 credit.
- All tools are read-only.
- Production Key (higher limits, bulk data sources, licensing) requires contacting hello@echoloc.ai, with a commitment to respond within one business day.
