About this tool

ChatALL (Chinese name: Qidao) is an AI chat aggregation client based on large language models (LLMs). Its core purpose is to send the same prompt to multiple AI bots at once and display their answers simultaneously, thereby helping users discover the best results. The target audience includes: advanced users who want to get the best answers or creations from LLMs; researchers who want to intuitively compare the strengths and weaknesses of different LLMs in different domains; and LLM application developers who want to quickly debug prompts and find the best foundation model.

In terms of main capabilities, ChatALL supports concurrent conversations with multiple AI bots such as ChatGPT, Bing Chat, Bard, Alpaca, Vicuna, Claude, ChatGLM, MOSS, iFlytek Spark, and ERNIE Bot. It provides a quick prompt mode, allowing the next prompt to be sent without waiting for the previous request to complete. Users can highlight replies they like, delete bad replies, enable or disable any bot at any time, and switch between single-column, two-column, or three-column views. It also supports multiple chat windows, prompt management, proxy settings, keyboard shortcuts (press Ctrl + / to view all shortcuts), dark mode, and can save chat history and settings locally to protect privacy. The interface supports multiple languages including Chinese, English, German, French, Russian, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Italian. The software supports Windows, macOS, and Linux.

In terms of usage, ChatALL is a client rather than a proxy, so users must have a usable account or API token for the corresponding bot and ensure a reliable network connection. Download and installation: download the corresponding installation package from the GitHub releases page; for Windows, download the *-win.exe file and install it; for Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2 CPUs), download the *-mac-arm64.dmg file; for other Macs, download the *-mac-x64.dmg file. If using Homebrew, it can also be installed via the brew command. For Debian-based distributions, download the .deb file and double-click to install; for Arch-based distributions, it can be cloned and installed from the AUR, or use AUR helpers such as yay and paru; for other distributions, download the .AppImage file, make it executable, and click to run it, or use AppimageLauncher.

In terms of feature details, ChatALL collects anonymous usage data to improve the product, including which AI bots were prompted and the prompt length (not including prompt content), response length, and which responses were deleted or highlighted (not including response content). All chat history, settings, and login data are stored on the local computer. For networked AI bots marked as "Web Access," because service providers regularly update web interfaces and security measures, these reverse-engineering-based connections are less reliable and difficult to maintain, and often break unexpectedly. To obtain a stable experience, it is strongly recommended to use bots that provide API access whenever possible.

If you encounter problems, you can try the following troubleshooting methods: refresh (press Ctrl + R or ⌘ + R); restart (exit ChatALL and run it again); log in again (click the settings button in the upper right corner, then click the corresponding login/logout link to log in to the website again); create a new chat (click the "New Chat" button and then resend the prompt). If none of the above methods work, you can try resetting ChatALL, but this will delete all settings and message history. The reset method is to delete the specified directory: for Windows, C:\Users<user>\AppData\Roaming\chatall; for Linux, /home/<user>/.config/chatall/; for macOS, /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/chatall/. If the problem still persists, you can submit an issue.
