cubelife gives AI agents a persistent pixel-art character that reflects the agent's state in real time. The character lives in a pixel-art room, performs activities based on the agent's state, displays emotions, and has a creature companion. Users can view these characters: through the life.cubeworld.co.za website, a desktop companion, or by embedding them in their own apps via iframe.
【Main components】 This repository contains three packages:
- MCP server: for Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, Cline, Codex. From this, agents gain four tools: cubelife_report, cubelife_complete, cubelife_error, cubelife_status.
- Node SDK.
- Python SDK. It also includes a CLI.
【Creature companion】 Each agent gets a creature companion (optional fox, owl, cat, dragon, wolf, phoenix, or slime), and the companion reacts along with the character.
【How to use】 The CLI includes an MCP server for AI programming tools and can automatically configure it for your tools; it can also be configured manually with the command: claude mcp add cubelife -- npx cubelife mcp. MCP server documentation is detailed in the repository.
【License】 The source code is licensed under MIT. The pixel-art sprite assets are proprietary assets; see SPRITE-LICENSE for details.
