About this tool

Purpose

Ardor Fitness is an AI training app centered on "intent." Each workout is first designed once by a person (a coach, a partner athlete, a community member, or the user themselves) with a clear purpose, and then ARDOR rebuilds it into a personal version based on the user's time, equipment, ability, and readiness, so that the user can achieve that workout's established intent every time.

Main Capabilities

Personalized Rebuilding: On the day of the workout, ARDOR rebuilds a version tailored to the user based on the estimated max lifts, one-minute capacity, pace decay, body weight in the user's profile, and the equipment conditions of the gym, including weights, reps, equipment, and personal goals.

Multi-Duration Adaptation: Users can choose 30-minute, 60-minute, or 90-minute-plus versions. The main workout content stays the same, and when there is more time, additional content is added around the main workout while preserving the workout's intent and quality.

Workout Tracking and Feedback: Users can use a real-time tracker or log afterward the actual completed weights, reps, times, and rounds. ARDOR compares the results with predicted values and calculates the percentage above or below prediction. Leaderboards rank by that percentage rather than raw time. After falling short of a goal, the next target is lowered by a slightly larger amount than it would be raised after being achieved.

Profile Evolution: Estimated maxes, one-minute capacity, pace decay, and level rating move with the user's actual performance. The next workout is built from the updated profile, while the original workout remains unchanged.

Vellner Program: A mixed strength and conditioning program programmed by 5-time CrossFit Games medalist Pat Vellner. Six themed days per week: Monday Olympic weightlifting (snatch, clean and jerk, squat), Tuesday short conditioning (metcon under 20 minutes), Wednesday bodybuilding hypertrophy, Thursday aerobic base (45 minutes to 2 hours low intensity), Friday gymnastics skills and bodyweight strength, Saturday long metcon (25-45 minutes), Sunday optional recovery. Uses a four-week cycle and includes a test week.

Monthly Athlete Challenge: Each month, a partner athlete and Pat Vellner design a workout together around a single intent, and the whole community completes it together, with each person's version adapted to them. Completion earns entries into the monthly drawing.

Relative Leaderboards and Community: Ranked by the percentage of a user's performance relative to their own prediction, rather than absolute time. Supports sharing workouts with friends, and ARDOR adapts them automatically.

Use Cases

Suitable for training in a full gym, a home gym, or anywhere with other equipment; suitable for different levels from beginners to advanced; suitable for people who want training that balances strength, fitness, and endurance and can flexibly adjust duration; suitable for users who like training with the community but want to keep a personalized experience.

Limitations

  • Currently only the iOS version is available; the Android version has not launched yet, but you can pre-register.
  • Integration with wearable devices is not yet available.
  • Integration with health platforms such as Apple Health is not yet available.
  • Users are not required to manually enter their full history: ARDOR learns quickly, and after 2–3 workouts strength and speed predictions can reach accuracy within 5%.
  • Subscription price: full access is $19.99/month or $119.99/year (about $10/month, billed annually), managed through the App Store. The free version allows one workout logged per week and unlimited access to partner athlete workouts and workouts others share with the user. Monthly and annual subscriptions include the Vellner Program, multi-week plans, unlimited logging, and full progression history.
  • No purchase is necessary for the sweepstakes, and purchasing does not increase the odds of winning; each entry has the same chance of winning. Prizes are not cash.
