What is Zen7 Payment Agent
Zen7 Payment Agent is the world's first Decentralized Payment Agent (DePA) launched by Zen7 Labs. Based on a multi-agent collaborative architecture, it supports multi-chain, multi-currency, high-frequency micropayments, and uses passwordless authorization and gas sponsorship mechanisms to improve payment efficiency and security. Zen7 Payment Agent enables automated payments between AI agents, supports A2A and MCP protocols, and is compatible with mainstream stablecoins and wallets. As next-generation intelligent payment infrastructure, Zen7 Payment Agent provides an efficient and secure payment solution for the AI Agent economy, making commercial interactions between agents more convenient and intelligent.
Main Features of Zen7 Payment Agent
- Autonomous Payments by AI Agents: Zen7 Payment Agent supports AI agents initiating payments autonomously like humans, without manual intervention, and supports high-frequency micropayment scenarios to meet AI-to-AI collaboration needs.
- Multi-Chain Compatibility and Cross-Chain Payments: Supports multi-chain deployment across the entire EVM ecosystem, is compatible with mainstream stablecoins and asset types, enables seamless cross-chain payments, and breaks down barriers between chains.
- Passwordless Authorization and Smooth Experience: With the "authorize once, passwordless multiple times" mechanism, AI agents can automatically initiate payments within the authorized limit, providing a user experience close to Web2.
- Zero Custody and Security Assurance: Based on the EIP-712 signature standard, it enables on-chain verifiable limit and time controls without the need to custody assets, fundamentally ensuring fund security.
- Gas Sponsorship Mechanism: The Settlement Agent pays gas fees on behalf of users, eliminating the technical barrier to crypto payments and making transactions smoother and more seamless.
-
High-Frequency Micropayment Adaptation: Natively supports AI-to-AI collaboration (A2A) and multi-agent collaboration protocols (MCP), perfectly satisfying high-frequency micropayment scenarios and applicable to various micropayment needs in the AI economy.
- Open Collaboration Ecosystem: Open-sources core Agent modules, MCP services, and command-line tools, encouraging global developers to jointly build a next-generation payment network.
Technical Principles of Zen7 Payment Agent
- .Multi-Agent Collaborative Architecture: Zen7 Payment Agent uses a multi-agent collaborative architecture to automate the payment process through division of labor and collaboration among different roles. The Host Agent serves as the core coordinator, responsible for understanding payment intent, managing payment status, and coordinating the work of other Agents; the Payer Agent is responsible for creating payment orders, generating EIP-712 signatures, and verifying wallet balances; the Settlement Agent is responsible for executing on-chain transactions, monitoring transaction status, and completing settlement; the Payee Agent is responsible for receiving settlement notifications, confirming order creation, and notifying payment completion, ensuring the efficiency and security of the payment process.
- Passwordless Authorization Mechanism: A passwordless authorization mechanism based on the EIP-712 signature standard. When authorizing, the user signs a signature containing the limit and time range, and the agent does not need to sign repeatedly when operating within the authorized limit. This mechanism not only simplifies the payment process and reduces the number of interactions between users and smart contracts, but also lowers security risks and ensures the security of user funds.
- Gas Sponsorship Mechanism: To lower the technical barrier to crypto payments, Zen7 Payment Agent introduces a gas sponsorship mechanism. The Settlement Agent is responsible for paying the gas fees for on-chain transactions, so users do not need to directly handle gas fee issues. The payment process is smoother and more seamless, eliminating users' concerns about gas fee fluctuations and improving user experience.
- Protocol Adaptation Layer: Provides a protocol adaptation layer that supports multiple protocols. a2a_server implements Google's Agent-to-Agent protocol and, through the A2AStarletteApplication framework, supports collaborative communication between Agents; mcp_server implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP), encapsulating payment functions as tool APIs and supporting SSE (Server-Sent Events) transport.

Application scenarios of Zen7 Payment Agent
-
Content creation and copyright payment: A content creation agent can automatically purchase image assets and pay copyright fees without human intervention, improving creation efficiency.
-
Data analysis and data source subscription: A data analysis agent can directly subscribe to data sources and complete settlement, quickly obtaining the required data and supporting data analysis work.
-
Collaboration and revenue sharing between AIs: AI and AI (A2A) can automatically split revenue after collaboratively completing a project, simplifying the collaboration process and improving collaboration efficiency.
-
Cross-border AI application payment: Cross-border AI applications can complete payments instantly without waiting for cumbersome clearing, improving the payment efficiency of cross-border business.
-
E-commerce scenarios: In e-commerce scenarios, shopping Agent customers can achieve full-process automation of product browsing, ordering, and payment, improving the user experience.
