What Is WeClone
WeClone is a one-stop solution for creating digital avatars from chat records. By fine-tuning a large language model (LLM) based on chat records, the model is given a specific style and bound to chatbots such as WeChat, QQ, and Telegram to realize a digital avatar. The project covers the entire pipeline from data export, preprocessing, and model training to deployment, and supports privacy information filtering and localized deployment to ensure data security. WeClone provides users with an intelligent digital avatar experience.

Technical Principles of WeClone
- Base Model Selection: Use a pretrained large language model (LLM) as the foundation. The model has been trained on a large amount of text data and has strong language understanding and generation capabilities.
- Fine-Tuning Technology: Fine-tune the base model based on the LoRA method. LoRA is an efficient fine-tuning method that inserts low-rank matrices into key layers of the model to adjust model parameters, achieving good fine-tuning results with relatively few computing resources.
- Data Preprocessing: Clean and format the user's chat records, remove sensitive information, and extract valid dialogue data. Use the preprocessed chat records to fine-tune the model, adjust the model parameters, and generate replies that match the user's style.
- Privacy Protection Mechanism: Use technologies such as regular expressions to identify and remove sensitive information in chat records, such as phone numbers, ID numbers, email addresses, etc. Support fine-tuning and deployment in a local environment to ensure that user data is not uploaded to the cloud and to protect user privacy.
