HireVue is a common form of asynchronous video interview in which candidates must answer preset questions on camera without a live conversation. How to Use
- Sign up: Register with email or a Google account; the first run is free and no credit card is required.
- Enter information: Enter the company name and position, and optionally paste a resume and job description so that targeted questions can be generated.
- Answer questions: Complete the mock session according to the standard presets (30 seconds of preparation, 2 minutes to answer, one recording), and follow the timing in the actual invitation.
- View scores: About one minute after the mock session ends, receive a total score and per-question scores, as well as identification of the strongest and weakest answers.
- Get coaching: After paying, you can view improvement suggestions for each question, including what to keep and one thing to correct, with quotes from the original wording.
