How to use it: Hold down a key and speak to get an answer or generate text. Prelto captures context at the moment the key is pressed, including the selection, the window, and when necessary, a screenshot of the window. It is officially emphasized that there is no ambient recording and no background capture. Speech recognition runs locally on the Mac, and dictated content remains local unless the AI cleanup feature is enabled. Answers, drafts, and AI cleanup use the user's own AI account: requests are sent directly from the Mac to the provider the user has connected, without passing through Prelto; API keys are stored in the Mac's keychain.
