About this tool

Fantastical is a calendar app whose core purpose is to help users manage calendars, events, reminders, and tasks in a unified way, and to simplify schedule creation through natural language and AI capabilities.

Main capabilities:

  1. Natural language input: Users can quickly add events or tasks using everyday language, for example "Lunch with Sarah at 1pm tomorrow." The app supports English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, European Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese, and can automatically understand events or reminders entered in these languages.
  2. AI email extraction: Event-related emails can be forwarded to Fantastical, and the built-in AI will extract the details and create an event.
  3. Unified calendar view: Integrates work and personal calendars into a single view. It provides DayTicker and Calendar views for a quick overview, as well as full-screen views for day, week, month, quarter, and year.
  4. Attachment upload: Files or images can be uploaded directly from Fantastical to iCloud, Google, or Exchange events, and attachments can be accessed on all devices with synchronized calendar accounts.
  5. Templates: Quick templates can be created from existing events and tasks, and selecting a template copies all details into a new event or task.
  6. Task management: Tasks can be added alongside calendar events, notifications are sent when tasks are due, and overdue tasks roll over to future dates.
  7. Platform support: Googlebook is already supported, providing a desktop-class calendar experience, full-size layout, and natural language input. Android phone, tablet, and foldable support is planned for launch in 2027, and users can sign up for notifications.
  8. Event invitations and scheduling: Invite others to events, with control over yes/no/maybe response types, number of participants, and registration deadlines. Availability can be set and a link shared; after others choose a date and time, the booking is completed automatically, and time slots are automatically blocked based on existing calendar events. Invitee availability can be viewed to find a time that works for everyone, and event proposals containing multiple times and dates can also be sent to invitees.
  9. Meeting links and automatic detection: Fantastical Scheduling can automatically add Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex meeting calls to events arranged by others through Openings. Simply specify the meeting service when creating a meeting template. Fantastical's automatic meeting link detection supports a large number of services, including FaceTime (Apple platforms only), Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, WhatsApp, GoToMeeting, RingCentral Meetings, Miro, Amazon Chime, Whereby, Lifesize, VooV, BigBlueButton, EightXEight, Jitsi Meet, Vidyo, Vonage, Doxy, SimplePractice, TheraNest, Dialpad Meetings (formerly UberConference), Gather, net2Phone Huddle, RiversideFM, CoScreen, 3CX, MiTeam Meetings, Yandex Telemost, Beacon, SecureVideo, Slack Huddle, PracticeBetter, Focusmate, Signal, Roam, PsychologyToday, and Granola.
  10. Subscription Sharing: A subscription can be shared through Flexibits Premium for Families or Teams. After registering, invite family or team members to join, and members can use Flexibits Premium with their own private Flexibits accounts.
  11. Privacy First: Keep private data on the device whenever possible. Account passwords are securely stored on the device using Keychain and never leave the device. See the privacy policy for details.
  12. Time Zone Support: Select a relevant time zone and view the converted time in events through a time zone card, making it easy to schedule events across time zones.
  13. Widgets: A variety of small, medium, and large widgets are available, showing upcoming events, tasks, meeting calls, weather, and more.
  14. Weather: Integrated 10-day detailed weather forecasts provided by AccuWeather in all calendar views, with more details available. Forecasts are minute-by-minute, and RealFeel takes humidity, cloud cover, wind chill, and other factors into account to tell you the actual feels-like temperature. Sunrise and sunset times are also displayed. Events with a location show weather details for that location on a map.
  15. Calendar Subscriptions: Browse, search, and instantly add holiday calendars for countries, religions, or education systems, and also add calendars for sports, TV shows, and more to get historical data and track upcoming related events.
  16. Lock Screen and StandBy Display: When an iPhone is connected to power and placed horizontally, selected widgets can be displayed: icons, date, calendar, next up, or event list. On the lock screen, events can be quickly viewed through three widget options: Next Up, Calendar, and Quick Actions.
  17. Focus and Calendar Sets: Use Calendar Sets and Focus Filters to show only the events and tasks that are important right now. For example, enable work calendars when arriving at the office, and remind yourself to call your child when entering the car.

How to use: Users can directly enter natural language in the app to create events or reminders, or forward event-related emails to let AI extract them. Attachments can be uploaded, templates can be used, tasks can be added, others can be invited, availability links can be shared, and meeting templates can be set. Multi-platform sync is supported, and Googlebook is already supported.

Use cases: Suitable for individuals, families, or teams that need to manage work and personal calendars in a unified way, schedule meetings frequently, collaborate across time zones, manage tasks and reminders, and keep track of weather and holiday information.

Limitations: Support for Android phones, tablets, and foldables is planned for 2027 and is currently unavailable. FaceTime meeting link detection is limited to Apple platforms. Flexibits Premium family or team sharing requires a subscription. Other specific prices and billing details are not currently provided.
