Purpose
ictcrm-mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for ICTCRM, developed by ICT Innovations. ICTCRM runs on top of the ICTContact backend, so this server connects directly to ICTContact's RPC interface, enabling AI assistants to operate on contact data in the CRM in a controlled manner.
Main Capabilities
- Read contact groups (the read-only tool is always available).
- After write permission is enabled, create and delete contacts.
- After write permission is enabled, add contacts to a calling campaign.
The server is in read-only mode by default. Only when the environment variable ICTCRM_MCP_ALLOW_WRITE=true is set do the write tools appear and become available.
Usage
- Requires Node.js 18 or higher.
- Calls are sent via a form-encoded RPC API to {base}/rest/<Method>, carrying the account username and password with each request, with no separate token configuration needed.
- The official documentation provides a configuration example for Claude Desktop.
Suitable Scenarios
Suitable for scenarios that require an AI assistant to read contact groups in ICTCRM and, under explicit authorization, manage contacts and add them to calling campaigns.
Limitations
- Read-only by default; write functionality must be explicitly enabled.
- The ICTContact backend's "list contacts" method errors on the server side, so this server does not provide a contact list tool; it can only manage contacts and read contact groups, and cannot list individual contacts through the API.
- The project uses the MIT license, and the address for issue reports and PR submissions is github.com/ictinnovations/ictcrm-mcp.
