StudioMCPHub is a production-grade MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, positioned as a creative AI tools and art dataset platform for autonomous agents. It is developed by Metavolve Labs, Inc., licensed under MIT, and its code is hosted on GitHub.
Purpose The server is designed to let AI agents directly invoke creative and image processing capabilities, covering the complete chain from generation and editing to print delivery, copyright registration, and storage, while also providing a large-scale public domain art dataset for agents to retrieve and use.
Main capabilities According to the official description, StudioMCPHub provides a total of 32 tools, 18 of which are free. Features include: image generation, image upscaling, background removal, product mockups, CMYK conversion, print-grade PDF output, SVG vectorization, invisible watermarking, AI metadata enhancement, provenance registration, Arweave permanent storage, and NFT minting. It also provides access to the Alexandria Aeternum dataset, which contains 53,000+ public domain artworks from 7 world-class institutions.
How to use It supports one-click installation into Cursor, and can also be added to any MCP client configuration. After installation, it is recommended to first call search_tools to discover available tools, rather than loading all 32 schemas at once. The official documentation also provides a Docker run method.
Payment and billing Agents can pay per call via x402 USDC on Base L2, with no API key, account, or registration required; the server returns HTTP 402 along with payment instructions. Traditional card payment via Stripe is also supported (per call, API key required), as well as GCX Credits prepaid tokens: $5 (50 GCX), $50 (600 GCX, 17% discount), $100 (1600 GCX, 38% discount). There is also an automatic per-wallet discount based on 30-day rolling spend, which can be queried via GET https://studiomcphub.com/api/agent/tier/{wallet_address} to check the tier. Each paid call earns a 5% loyalty GCX rebate, with no registration required and no expiration.
Use cases Suitable for agent workflows that require automated image generation and post-processing, print delivery, vector conversion, watermarking and provenance registration, NFT minting, and retrieval of public domain art materials.
Limitations and additional notes The official description states that the metadata density of Alexandria Aeternum can improve VLM visual perception by +25.5% and semantic coverage by +160.3% (see The Density Imperative for details). The project is also associated with Golden Codex Studio and a HuggingFace dataset. The specific invocation parameters of each tool, the complete list of free and paid tools, the technical details of each payment method, and the full contents of the Docker configuration are not yet provided in the materials.
