StableVideo is a text-driven consistency-aware diffusion video editing method proposed by Wenhao Chai, Xun Guo, Gaoang Wang, and Yan Lu, and published at ICCV 2023. The goal of this project is to edit videos through text descriptions while maintaining temporal consistency.
Main capabilities:
- Text-driven video editing based on diffusion models.
- Consistency-aware editing, aimed at maintaining coherence between video frames.
- Provides pretrained models and example videos, which can be used for testing and demonstration.
- Supports custom video training, which can be done according to the NLA method.
- Allows editing the masked region of the foreground atlas to adjust the editing scope.
Usage:
- The project code is hosted on GitHub and can be obtained through the repository.
- Pretrained models and detectors need to be downloaded, and can be downloaded from the ControlNet Hugging Face page.
- The example video atlas can be downloaded from the link shared by the Text2LIVE authors.
- Run app.py to launch the program. After clicking the render button, the resulting .mp4 video and keyframes will be saved in the ./log directory.
- A CPU version is optionally available: set the save_memory parameter to use CPU caching; a CPU-only Hugging Face demo is also provided.
- The masked region of the foreground atlas can be edited, but note that Gradio may have bugs. You need to check whether the editable output is consistent with the above; otherwise, try restarting the program.
Applicable scenarios:
- Video editing experiments in academic research.
- Creative editing of videos based on text descriptions.
- Video processing tasks that need to maintain temporal consistency.
Limitations:
- The current information comes from the project README and does not provide detailed performance metrics, pricing model, supported platforms, or other specific information; these aspects are not yet provided.
- Use may require a certain technical background, involving model downloads and environment configuration.
- The Gradio interface may have known bugs that affect the user experience.
