About this tool

Uniswap PoolSpy MCP Server is an MCP protocol-based server specifically designed to track newly created liquidity pools of Uniswap across multiple blockchain networks. It is aimed at DeFi analysts, traders, and developers, providing real-time data to help users stay informed about new pool activity.

Main capabilities:

  • Monitor the creation of Uniswap V3 pools across nine blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain (BSC), Avalanche, Celo, and Blast.
  • Support custom time ranges and result count limits for queries.
  • Support sorting by timestamp, transaction count, volume, or TVL.

Usage:

  1. Environment requirements: Python 3.10 or higher, the uv package management tool, a valid The Graph API key, and an MCP-compatible environment (such as Claude Desktop) to use the full functionality.
  2. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/yourusername/uniswap-poolspy-mcp.git,然后 cd uniswap-poolspy-mcp.
  3. Set up the environment: if uv is not yet installed, you can run curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh to install it.
  4. Install dependencies: use uv to sync dependencies from pyproject.toml: uv sync.
  5. Configure the API key: create a .env file in the project root directory: echo "THEGRAPH_API_KEY=your-api-key-here" > .env, replacing your-api-key-here with your actual The Graph API key.
  6. Run the server: start the MCP server; during development, you can use MCP Inspector.
  7. Integrate with Claude Desktop: install the server as an MCP plugin and configure it in the mcpServers file so that MCP clients (such as Claude Desktop) can discover the server.
  8. Query new pools: use the get_new_pools tool in Claude Desktop with natural language queries, for example:
    • "Show me new pools on Ethereum from the last 10 minutes"
    • "List pools on Base sorted by volume, limit to 50"
    • "What pools were created on Polygon in the past hour, ordered by TVL?" This tool accepts the following parameters:
    • chain: blockchain network (for example "ethereum", "base", "optimism")
    • order_by: sorting field ("timestamp", "txcount", "volume", "tvl")
    • time_range_seconds: lookback time (seconds, default 300)
    • limit: maximum number of pools to return (default 100)

Use cases:

  • DeFi analysts monitor the creation of new liquidity pools to discover early opportunities.
  • Traders track new pools on a specific chain, sorted by volume or TVL to identify popular pools.
  • Developers integrate the MCP server to build automated monitoring or analysis tools.

Limitations:

  • Requires a valid The Graph API key.
  • Requires Python 3.10+ and a uv environment.
  • Full functionality requires an MCP-compatible environment (such as Claude Desktop).
  • Only monitors the creation of Uniswap V3 pools.
  • The project uses the MIT license.
