Purpose
Zentask AI provides a "personal AI agent" that lets users hand off a task to the agent, either as a one-off or scheduled to run daily. Users only need to describe what they want done in one natural-language sentence, and the agent completes it on its own cloud computer, sending the result to the user's chat tool or email, even if the laptop is closed.
Main Capabilities
- Natural-language task assignment: type, paste a screenshot, or send a voice message.
- Scheduled repetition: just say "every Monday" to set it as a recurring task.
- Result delivery: results are sent to Telegram, Slack, Discord, or email, and notifications are only sent when there is a change.
- Cloud execution: the agent runs on a cloud computer, with no local installation required; the materials say it "starts working within 60 seconds."
- Example tasks shown include: generating and launching a single-page landing page, making a short video, writing a research report and saving it to report.md, checking competitor pricing pages for changes, gathering weekly AI news, and setting up a Python development environment and running a sample app.
- Each octo (agent) can have a custom name, rules written in plain text, the model used, its own schedule, and chat method; rules can stack, with the most specific rule taking priority.
- Transparent costs: each octo shows its cost, and it stops when the balance runs out.
- Safety confirmation: it asks the user before sending, publishing, paying, or deleting anything.
- Downloadable files: all files produced by the agent can be downloaded with one click.
- Login isolation: users log in themselves, and the agent keeps the session but does not store passwords.
- No cliff on cancellation: after canceling Pro, octos and files are kept for 30 days, and coming back within 30 days restores everything as before.
Developer Capabilities
- Provides a real Linux machine with sudo and Docker; Pro users get a live URL for their app.
- All panel features have a REST API, and one developer key (starting with om_..., created on the Keys page) covers octos, machines, sessions, files, and usage.
- The API contract is public at GET /api/v1/openapi.
- The agent runs on the open-source Octomind runtime (Apache 2.0), and the materials say it solves 24 of 25 real PR benchmark tasks, ahead of Claude Code; the same agent can be run on the user's own machine via the CLI.
- The API is available with all paid plans.
How to use it
Describe what you want done in one natural-language sentence, and you can attach a screenshot or voice message; if you are satisfied, just say "every Monday" and it becomes a recurring task; the results will appear in your chat tool, and it will notify you only when there are changes. Each agent can have its own email address; forward or cc emails to it, and it will reply in the same thread, with only senders you allow able to get through. In addition, it works based on the internet, your files, and what you send in chat.
Suitable scenarios
Suitable for tasks that need to be performed repeatedly and require judgment (reading, comparing, deciding, writing), such as competitor pricing monitoring, weekly update briefings, generating and launching landing pages, making short videos, writing research reports, writing social media copy, and so on. It is for the parts that need to be handed to an agent and that rule-based tools (such as Zapier moving data according to rules) are not good at.
Limitations and pricing
- Pro plan: $50 per month, $20 for the first month, including $50 of usage and up to 10 octos; models and machines are included in the same subscription; after exceeding the included quota, only pre-purchased credits are consumed, and then it stops, with no surprise bills. You can cancel at any time.
- The pricing information in the materials is limited in completeness; the official text is truncated at "Pro is $50 a month — $", and the remaining tiers or enterprise plans are not yet provided.
- Whether email or calendar integration is supported: the materials clearly state "not yet your inbox or calendar," but each octo can have an independent email address.
- The specific model list, supported languages, available regions, and so on are not yet provided.
