About this tool

Purpose: mobile-device-mcp is an MCP server that provides AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf) with the ability to view and operate mobile devices, solving the problem of AI being able to read code but not see the phone screen.

Main capabilities: Provides tools such as screenshots, UI inspection, touch interaction, AI visual analysis, Flutter widget tree inspection, screen recording, and test generation. The free version includes 14 tools, and the Pro version provides an additional 35 tools, for a total of 49. Supports Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini for AI visual analysis. Can connect to a running Flutter app via the Dart VM Service Protocol, mapping each widget to its source code location (file:line). iOS simulator control is limited to macOS and is implemented via xcrun simctl.

Usage: No global installation required; run directly via npx. Requires an Android device or emulator connected via ADB, and ADB (Android SDK Platform Tools) installed. One-time setup: obtain a Google AI key (aistudio.google.com/apikey), and add .mcp.json in the project root directory; Pro users need to add the license key to .mcp.json after purchase. Open the AI coding assistant from that directory, and the server will be automatically started and stopped by the assistant as a background process via the MCP protocol. Verification: in Claude Code, entering /mcp should show mobile-device: Connected; in Cursor, check the MCP panel in settings. After that, you can operate the phone by describing your needs in natural language.

Applicable scenarios: Mobile projects such as Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, and Swift; just copy .mcp.json into any project to use it.

Limitations: iOS physical device support, multi-device orchestration, CI/CD integration, and cloud device farm support are not currently provided. The license is Business Source License 1.1; free for personal and non-commercial use, a paid license is required for commercial use, and it converts to Apache 2.0 on March 23, 2030. The Pro version is priced at ₹499/month, and after payment you will receive the license key by email within 1 hour.
