MakeColoring is an AI-based online coloring page generator, positioned as a free, printable coloring page creation kit for children, adults, educators, and coloring book creators. Its main purpose is to quickly transform photos or text ideas into black-and-white line art that can be printed and colored.
Main capabilities
- Photo to coloring page: Upload family photos, pet portraits, or any snapshot, and the AI will automatically perform background cleanup and subject separation while preserving facial features and expressions to generate continuous closed outlines.
- Text to coloring page: Describe a scene, character, or fantasy theme in natural language to generate high-resolution printable coloring pages, suitable for custom coloring books, homeschooling activities, and classroom teaching materials.
- Line art quality: Outputs pure black-and-white lines without gray gradients, pencil shading, or halftone noise, with clean lines and clear edges.
- Print specifications: Supports 300 DPI and offers US Letter (8.5×11 inches), A4, and 1:1 square formats for mandalas.
- Styles and difficulty: Difficulty can be adjusted, such as thick outlines suitable for toddlers and intricate patterns suitable for adults; themes include cute animals, fantasy castles, mandalas, dinosaurs, and STEM, among others.
- Export formats: PNG or PDF downloads are available.
How to use
- The website describes three steps: first choose the generation method, upload a photo or enter a text description; then the AI separates the subject, cleans the background, and synthesizes continuous black outlines without bleeding; finally download the high-resolution coloring page instantly for home printing. The website claims that no design skills are needed and that generation can take as little as 30 seconds or less.

- Teachers: Quickly generate custom teaching coloring pages for subjects such as biology and history.
