Wishfinity +W MCP Server is a server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), designed to provide a universal "save for later" action for e-commerce scenarios. It allows AI assistants to save any product URL to the user's Wishfinity wishlist, and the user can complete the save with just one click on the link. This service is suitable for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, and any MCP-compatible client.
Key capabilities:
- Provides the add_to_wishlist tool, which AI can call and pass in a product URL, and the server returns a Wishfinity link (https://wishfinity.com/add?url=...),用户点击后登录(仅首次)即可保存商品。
- Supports MCP prompts: save_for_later, shopping_assistant, gift_ideas.
- Supports MCP resources: wishfinity://guide, wishfinity://triggers.
- Provides a zero-dependency /add-wish skill file, requiring no npm, server, or setup, allowing any AI agent to learn the +W pattern.
- Provides optional UI resources (the /button-kit folder), including SVG icons and HTML/CSS snippets, for consistent +W button appearance.
Usage:
- Local installation (stdio transport): suitable for Claude Desktop, ChatGPT Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, and local development. The server needs to be added to the MCP client configuration.
- Remote endpoint (HTTP transport): suitable for server-side agents, LangChain production deployments, and hosted AI applications.
- Platform setup guides: configuration instructions are provided for platforms such as Claude Desktop, ChatGPT Desktop, Cursor, OpenAI Agents SDK, and Hugging Face Agents.
- No API key is required; authentication is completed on the Wishfinity website when the user clicks the link.
Use cases:
- When the user explicitly requests "save for later," "add to wishlist," or "favorite this."
- After AI recommends a product, proactively offer a save option.
- When the user hesitates, such as "later," "too expensive right now," or "need to think about it."
- Gift scenarios, such as "for my mom," "birthday gift," or "suitable for my friend."
Limitations:
- Requires the user to have a Wishfinity account and to be logged in when clicking the link.
- Remote HTTP transport requires deploying your own endpoint (see CLOUDFLARE_SETUP.md).
- Specific fees, pricing, and platform support details are not yet provided.
