Remit.ee is an image-to-URL converter used to upload local images and generate public HTTPS links, and it provides embed code in HTML, Markdown, or BBCode format. It is free to use with no registration required, and the maximum file size is 20MB.
Purpose Convert local images into directly accessible public HTTPS URLs for easy referencing on web pages, blogs, documents, and forums; it can also generate links for photos in the camera roll (including iPhone HEIC) and provides dedicated entry points such as JPG to URL, PNG to URL, and image to HTML.
Main capabilities
- Supports drag-and-drop upload and batch selection, with files processed sequentially in a queue, and a link generated after each upload is completed.
- Generates direct links, as well as HTML (<img>), Markdown ( formats, making it easy to paste into different platforms.
- Supports JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, PDF, MP4, WebM, MOV; maximum file size is 20MB.
- JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images also have a 16-megapixel limit.
- Supports optional JPEG optimization, which may reduce size and lose some quality; PNG/APNG, WebP, and GIF retain original bytes; disabling optimization preserves the original JPEG.
- Links are provided over HTTPS, and caching behavior may help with some requests, but actual speed and availability are affected by network, file size, region, and service status.
- Each batch supports up to 10 files and 100 MiB of raw data, and rate and concurrency limits apply.
How to use
- Drag images into the uploader or select files.
- Wait for upload and processing to complete, and the server generates a public HTTPS URL.
- Copy the direct link for sharing or downloading; when embedding is needed, choose the HTML, Markdown, or BBCode format supported by the platform.
Use cases
- Blogs and technical documentation: provide shareable image links for personal blogs and technical articles, and Markdown output can be used on platforms that support Markdown, such as GitHub and GitBook.
- E-commerce product display: used for image upload and linking workflows in product descriptions, product documentation, and temporary displays; final quality depends on the source file and processing settings.
- Social media sharing: share images on forums, social media, and instant messaging tools, with BBCo supportfor convenient use by forum platforms.
- Design portfolio display: used for designer portfolios and creative showcases, supports multiple image formats and preserves original quality.
- Data report charts: upload charts and copy links for use in documents or web pages.
- Educational training materials: used for online courses and teaching documents, supports PDF within the stated limits.
Limitations and precautions
- Links are intended for continuous sharing, but long-term availability is not guaranteed. Changes in services, storage, or network conditions may cause them to become invalid. It is recommended to keep an independent backup.
- Anonymous upload does not mean that technical or analytical data is not processed; the site uses technical logs, usage analytics, and third-party advertising scripts.
- Files are accessible to anyone who has the link; HTTPS protects the transmission process, but a random URL is not access control, so do not upload confidential files.
- There is currently no self-service deletion control, and no deletion time limit is guaranteed; problematic content can be reported through the contact method published on the site.
- There is currently no public API documentation; files must be uploaded through the web uploader and the URL copied.
- Upload time depends on file size, browser, and network conditions. The URL appears after server processing is complete.
- The most common reason a Markdown image does not display is a missing exclamation mark: the text text is a text link, while is an image link.
