boring.notch is a free app for macOS, developed by TheBoringTeam and released on the official website theboring.name. Its core purpose is to turn the notch area at the top of the MacBook screen into a music player, allowing the notch space originally used for the camera and sensors to take on playback control functions.
Main capabilities: The official website describes it as "a free app that turns the MacBook notch into a music player." Users can view and control music playback through the notch area without leaving their current work interface. The app supports the macOS system.
How to use: The official website provides two ways—a browser demo and a macOS download. Users can first experience the interaction through the browser demo, and then download and install it on their MacBook. The installation package and specific system version requirements are subject to the official website.
Use cases: Suitable for users who want to use the notch space on their MacBook to quickly control music playback and reduce app switching.
Limitations: Currently, publicly available information only mentions that it is free, supports macOS, and that the official website provides a browser demo and download. Other feature details, system requirements, pricing model, etc. are not yet provided.
