tweet.md is an X/Twitter content conversion service for LLMs and agents.
Purpose
Convert posts, threads, Articles, and user profiles on X/Twitter into clean Markdown, making them convenient for use in chat assistants, agents, research, archiving, and similar scenarios. Compared with directly scraping x.com pages, the converted Markdown is cleaner, preserves complete threads, avoids page clutter, reduces token consumption, and avoids incomplete statistics.
Main capabilities
- Convert a single post into Markdown, including statistics, media information, and author metadata; use thread=off to skip surrounding conversation.
- Export a complete X/Twitter thread in order, including post text, source links, and metadata.
- Export long-form X Articles as Markdown, preserving titles, links, media references, and document structure.
- Convert any X user profile into Markdown, including bio, statistics, pinned posts, and recent posts.
- Generate Markdown with YAML frontmatter, making it easy to import into knowledge bases such as Obsidian.
- Support integration with Apple Shortcuts, allowing X posts to be saved as Markdown on iPhone, iPad, or Mac via Siri, the share sheet, or the clipboard.
- The generated Markdown is suitable for pasting directly into chat assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, avoiding missing content or broken links caused by directly providing links.
How to use
- Replace x.com with tweet.md in any X/Twitter URL (post, thread, Article, or profile).
- Copy the LLM-ready Markdown from the page.
- Paste it into any chat assistant or agent for use.
For agents, you can provide skill instructions and an API key, and the skill will instruct the agent to automatically replace x.com URLs with tweet.md. After checkout, the browser receives a cookie containing the API key, so there is no need to worry about authentication.
