About this tool

AGI Workforce is a suite of AI applications. Its official description states that it covers six surfaces, and its core design is a unified model router. Users can directly specify a model by name to answer, or keep Auto mode, in which the router reads each request, combines the task type with the user's plan, weighs cost, selects a suitable model, and prints the model label below the answer. There are three ways to run it: local, bring your own key (BYOK), and AGI managed cloud. The official emphasis is that "before anything leaves your device, you can see the route taken."

[Main capabilities and surfaces] AGI Web: Zero installation, chat directly in the browser, with support for projects and memory, an Artifact sidebar, web search, and shared conversations. Accounts and managed cloud are both here. The official description says it can be tried for free, works in any modern browser, and is currently available. AGI CLI: A Rust agent in the terminal, with support for session resume and forking, code review, execution in a sandbox, offline use of local models, hooks, skills, and MCP, as well as privacy mode. The official listing says it is for macOS, Linux, and Windows, with a status of coming soon. AGI in VS Code: Participate in chat within the editor via @agi, providing workspace-wide context, diff review, and slash commands (such as /explain, /fix, /tests, /docs). Handoff is explicit. The official listing says the status is coming soon. AGI Desktop: A desktop application for macOS that puts the managed cloud account into a persistent window and provides approved folders and computer use, executed step by step. Currently, Desktop does not accept provider keys or local models. The official listing says it has not yet been released and is coming soon. AGI in Chrome: The sidebar can read the current page when the user asks a question, and answers come from AGI managed cloud; when paired with Desktop, it can add a local path for selected content and screenshots, but it does not change the source of the answers. Permissions are scoped, and workflow recording is supported. Based on Chrome MV3, the official listing says it is coming soon. AGI Mobile: Privacy is the default, and Local mode is planned as the default option. Local chat and memory stay on the phone, and AGI cloud is an explicit choice after signing in. The official statement makes clear that it is not yet available on the App Store or Google Play, and there is currently no installable version.

【Three Operating Paths】 Local: The model runs on the user's hardware, can be used offline and is free; local chats, files, and sessions do not silently leave the device; the CLI supports Ollama and LM Studio; no account is required. Local mode on mobile is planned and not yet released. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): In the CLI, provider keys can be brought in, the keys are stored on the user's own machine, traffic is sent directly to the user's provider, and each route displays a provider label; the official statement says the CLI and VS Code are coming soon. AGI managed cloud: Hosted capacity that is open by default, log in to start, no waitlist; by design it is shared across Web, Mobile, and Desktop; routing is handled by AGI with clear labels; usage metering is transparent. The official emphasis is that the three paths are separate by design: local threads stay local, and moving work anywhere else requires labels and user consent.

【Coding and Approval Controls】 Officially, AGI Code covers the CLI and VS Code, sessions can be resumed and forked, execution takes place in a sandbox, and the CLI can run offline on local models. In the CLI, users can choose whether file edits and shell commands require approval; modes that accept edits or auto-run can skip individual prompts, and Shift+Tab switches modes. The interface also supports streaming the first response without waiting for all responses to finish generating.

【Organization and Enterprise Capabilities】 Officially listed are seats, roles, and a workspace console for organizations, used to determine where work is allowed to run; support for SSO and directory configuration (contract scope), audit exports that can be read line by line, retention windows, and data rights handling; Local and BYOK keep data on the user's hardware or under the user's provider contract.

【Applicable Scenarios】 From the official description, this suite is aimed at users who need to continue projects and memory across the browser, terminal, editor, desktop, Chrome sidebar, and mobile, as well as users with clear requirements about where data runs (optionally local or bring your own key). Among these, the Web version is currently available; the CLI, VS Code, Desktop, and Chrome extension are marked as coming soon; Mobile is explicitly not yet released.

【Limitations and Information Not Yet Provided】 Currently, Desktop does not accept provider keys or local models; Mobile is not yet available; the CLI and VS Code are marked as coming soon. The official text does not provide specific prices, pricing plans, free quota details, model list details, the complete list of supported model providers, performance data, or specific release dates; this information is not yet provided.
