Flashka is an AI-powered learning platform designed to help students turn study materials into content they can actually practice. Its core purpose is to: upload notes, PDFs, slides, recordings, and other materials, automatically generate flashcards, quizzes, mock exams, oral exams, case studies, mind maps, summaries, and exam plans, and schedule reviews through a spaced repetition algorithm to improve memory efficiency.
Main capabilities include:
- Flashcard generation: turn notes, PDFs, and slides into personalized flashcards in seconds.
- Quizzes and mock exams: generate quick quizzes and timed mock exams based on the materials.
- Spaced repetition: the algorithm schedules review times based on memory performance, with difficult cards appearing sooner and easy cards later.
- Summaries and notes: distill long lectures and notes into key points.
- Mind maps: turn dense chapters into visual maps.
- Oral exams: answer verbally and receive instant feedback.
- Case studies: practice through real-world cases and receive reasoning feedback.
- Exam plans: after setting an exam date, automatically generate and dynamically adjust a study plan.
- Transcriber: record lectures and get full transcripts.
- Image occlusion: turn any image into interactive flashcards.
- AI agent Ka: you can ask via chat to create or modify materials, for example generating flashcards for a concept, lengthening cards, or turning chapters into quizzes or notes.
- Progress tracking: record study time, consecutive study days, and mastery points, and provide global, university, and friends leaderboards, with the ability to create study groups to share decks.
How to use it: Users can upload PDFs, PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, Pages, plain text, notes or textbook photos, lecture audio (which can be recorded live or uploaded as a file), or directly enter or paste text, or import Anki .apkg files. All cards, quizzes, and exams are generated based on the user's own materials. Multiple languages are supported; the language of the uploaded materials is the language used for the generated content, and the app itself offers eight languages.
Use cases: Suitable for any subject with notes, slides, or textbooks, such as medicine, law, engineering, science, economics, languages, and history. Case studies and oral exams are suited to clinical, legal, and humanities courses, while image occlusion is useful for anatomy, diagrams, and maps.
Limitations and plans: The free plan provides daily: 1 card generation, 1 full quiz or mock exam, 1 oral exam, 1 case study, 1 transcription, 10 chat messages with Professor Ka, and 30 pages of uploads. Editing AI-generated content, using Highlight and Autocomplete to generate cards, and AI Notes are unlimited on all plans. The Beast plan provides monthly: 30 card generations, 30 full quizzes, 30 oral exams, 30 case studies, 30 transcriptions, 300 chat messages, as well as unlimited upload pages and export to Anki. The Wizard plan offers all Beast features and is unlimited. Free limits reset daily, and Beast limits reset monthly on the billing date. Plans renew automatically, and cancellation must be done at least one day before the renewal date.
Data privacy: User documents and study materials belong to the user, are stored securely, are used only to build the user's own materials, and will not be shared with other students or sold. Users can export cards at any time (Anki export is included in Beast and Wizard) and delete their account and all data.
Other information: It is officially stated that more than 2 million students already use it, and 98% of users report improved grades and reduced procrastination (user-reported data). The app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
