Remoet MCP is a job search MCP server for AI agents, provided by remoet-labs and hosted at https://api.remoet.dev/mcp。它的目标是用对话方式追踪你关注的公司的技术岗位,无需账号即可开始(仅限公开职位板搜索)。
Purpose It is mainly used to let AI agents find hiring companies by tech stack, filter shortlists, and pull jobs from those companies, while also maintaining profiles, favorite companies, saved jobs, application records, and digest subscriptions. Remoet infers each company's tech stack from the roles it is currently hiring for, rather than relying on self-reported adoption lists that go stale, thereby helping agents match by the technologies a company actually uses now. After marking suitable companies, their new jobs enter your feed and unlock the company's full tech stack.
Main capabilities The server provides two types of tools. Read-only directory tools include: search_jobs (search jobs from all companies on the public job board remoet.dev/jobs), search_listings (find companies by company name or the tech stack required for their hiring), and get_listing (view details for a single company). Personal tools require a free account and cover profiles, favorites, saved jobs, the feed, and applications. get_feed is the only feed that agents poll, containing new jobs from favorite companies, daily recommendations, and platform posts; the same feed is also emailed as a digest on the schedule you set. get_account reports current quota usage. The server does not enforce confirmation for write operations: write tools carry annotations for clients to ask you first, and apply_to_job prompts the agent to obtain your consent before submitting; for scraped jobs (most of the job board), only the employer link is returned, and you need to apply there.
How to use The hosted server address is https://api.remoet.dev/mcp,无需 Key to use the read-only directory tools. Personal features require a free account: get an API Key at remoet.dev/onboarding, or log in via OAuth in a browser client. The same Key works for both MCP and the REST API. It supports Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Claude Web, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex, and any MCP-compatible client. Claude Web/Desktop can add a custom connector pointing to https://api.remoet.dev/mcp/oauth and complete browser login without pasting an API Key. During installation, if a keyless server has already been added, remove it first, otherwise adding it will fail because it "already exists." After adding it, restart Claude Code (exit and relaunch) so the new server's tools load in a new session. In both endpoints,https://api.remoet.dev/mcp accepts an API Key passed in the Bearer header (Authorization: Bearer <key>), or uses the directory tools without a Key, suitable for CLIs and long-running agents;https://api.remoet.dev/mcp/oauth Runs OAuth 2.1 (with PKCE and dynamic client registration), suitable for browser clients such as Claude Web/Desktop custom connectors. Remoet is also published as an agentskills.io skill, offering a brief installation method on Hermes and OpenClaw (OpenClaw via ClawHub).
Use cases Suitable for job seekers who want to find hiring companies and positions by tech stack (such as Rails, React, Postgres) in AI agent conversations, maintain favorite companies, and get new job summaries. The service is free for job seekers, has no paid plans, and has a fixed upper limit on the number of active favorites (reported by get_account). Job board counts as of 2026-10-06: 762 hiring companies with 11,704 open tech jobs in total (the same job posted in multiple cities is counted only once).
Limitations Public job board search requires no key; however, features such as profiles, favorites, saved jobs, feeds, and applications all require a free account. Your profile (name, photo, bio, location, links) as well as saved work, project, and education entries are public: the profile page displays profile, work, and projects, and education information is returned by the public profile API; visibility (NONE, STARRED, or ALL) separately controls which companies can see you as a candidate. For scraped jobs, only employer links are returned, and applications must go to the employer page. The local stdio MCP server in the repository (Node + TypeScript) can be built and run, and can respond to tools/list from a snapshot (meeting the needs of catalog building and scanning systems), but cannot execute tool calls: the proxy requires the hosted server's initialize response to carry the mcp-session-id header, while that server has been stateless since June 2026 and never sends that header, so every call fails at that check, and fixing the proxy is a separate piece of work. The hosted MCP is closed source and is the authoritative source for execution. The repository is MIT licensed, the wrapper layer is open source, and the Remoet backend it points to is a hosted service. When running locally, a free key can be set via REMOET_API_KEY, and REMOET_MCP_URL can override the upstream endpoint (default https://api.remoet.dev/mcp),Docker Run in the same way with the stdio server as the container entry point. The tool catalog is located at data/tools.json, taken from a live tools/list snapshot of the hosted server. When the hosted tool surface changes, it must be refreshed based on the real tools/list response, and tools.md must be updated accordingly; the snapshot shows the schema after login, so please read the notes at the top of tools.md before regenerating.
