Purpose
Designjoy is positioned as a design subscription service for agencies, startups, and entrepreneurs, intended to replace unreliable freelancers and expensive design agencies by providing design delivery for a fixed monthly fee.
Main Capabilities
- Users can submit any number of design requests, ranging from mobile apps to logos.
- Design deliverables are delivered one by one in a queue, with an average completion time of two business days; more complex requests may take longer.
- Large requests (such as complete website or mobile app design, UI/UX work) are broken into parts, with one part delivered every 24 to 48 hours until fully completed.
- Most requests are designed using Figma.
- Webflow development is included in all subscriptions and is handled as one design request; once website development is complete, it is transferred to the user's account, so the user owns the website and can maintain it without continuing the subscription.
- Unlimited revisions are supported until the user is 100% satisfied.
- Designs are exclusively custom-made, and ownership belongs 100% to the user.
How to Use
After subscribing to a plan, Designjoy creates a dedicated Trello board for the user, usually completed about one hour after subscription. Users can start using it after accepting the Trello invitation. Requests can be submitted directly through Trello, by sharing a Google Doc or wireframe, or by recording a Loom video briefly describing the request; as long as it can be linked or shared in Trello, it works.
Use Cases
Suitable for teams or individuals who need continuous design output but have irregular demand. If there is insufficient design work in a given month, the subscription can be paused; billing cycles are calculated as 31 days, and remaining days after pausing can be preserved for future use. Users can pause or cancel at any time as needed.
Limitations
- The following design work is not accepted: 3D modeling, motion graphics (such as GIFs), video, document design (such as medical forms), complex packaging, large-volume print design (such as magazines and books), and Adobe InDesign documents.
- The service is run solely by founder Brett, who does not hire other designers or outsource work.
- No refunds are provided after the first week; completed work is non-refundable. A 75% refund is available if the user is unsatisfied within the first week.
- Specific pricing is not provided in the materials.
