SoraWebui

SoraWebui is an open-source project that provides a web client for the OpenAI Sora model, allowing users to generate videos online through text. It supports one-click website deployment, and currently implements features such as text-to-video generation (using FakeSoraAPI), Google login, and Google One Tap login. The project is fully open source, with code hosted on GitHub. Users can run it locally by cloning the project, installing dependencies, and configuring environment variables, or deploy it to platforms such as Vercel. Note that the video generation feature currently relies on FakeSoraAPI and does not directly call OpenAI's Sora API; OpenAI's Sora API has not yet been released, so the project cannot yet integrate the real Sora model. Stripe payment functionality is also planned.

About this tool

SoraWebui is an open-source project aimed at simplifying the video creation process, allowing users to generate videos online through text using the OpenAI Sora model. The project provides an easy-to-use web client and supports one-click website deployment.

Purpose: SoraWebui is mainly used to generate videos through text descriptions, with the goal of allowing users to experience text-to-video functionality without complex configuration.

Main capabilities:

  • Generate videos through text: currently implemented using FakeSoraAPI simulation, which can be viewed in the main or version-0.1 branch.
  • Sign in with a Google account: supports Google login, which can be viewed in the login or version-0.2 branch.
  • Google One Tap login: supports Google One Tap quick login, which can be viewed in the login or version-0.3 branch.
  • One-click website deployment: the project supports deployment on Vercel, making it convenient for users to quickly launch their own video generation website.

How to use:

  1. Clone the project: clone the code from the GitHub repository.
  2. Install dependencies: install the required dependencies according to the project instructions.
  3. Configure environment variables: copy the .env.example file and rename it to .env.local, then fill in the necessary configuration.
  4. Start the local service: open in the browser http://localhost to view it. Note: SoraWebui needs to work with FakeSoraAPI to run properly.

Applicable scenarios:

  • Developers or tech enthusiasts who want to build a demo website for text-to-video generation.
  • Users who want to experience or test the Sora model interaction interface.
  • Scenarios that require quickly deploying a video generation web application.

Limitations:

  • The current video generation feature uses FakeSoraAPI and does not actually call OpenAI's Sora API.
  • OpenAI's Sora API has not yet been released, so the project cannot yet integrate the real Sora model. After OpenAI releases the Sora API, the project plans to add this feature.
  • The Stripe payment feature is shown as "coming soon" and is not currently available.
  • More information such as fees, pricing, and platform support is not yet provided in the materials.
