About this tool

Purpose

The server is a read-only MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for the "ITIN finance network", covering the three sites itinlending.net, itincreditcard.com, and itincreditscore.com, operated by Timberline Ventures LLC. Its core purpose is to enable AI assistants to directly obtain citable information about financial services for U.S. ITIN (no SSN) holders.

Main Capabilities

  • Verified institution directory: Contains lenders and credit card issuers that accept ITIN (no SSN) applicants, covering auto loans, mortgages, personal loans, business loans, and credit cards. Each record indicates whether it has been verified against the institution's own page, along with a citation URL and verification date.
  • Editorial guides and FAQs: Provides more than 290 editorial guides and more than 1800 FAQs in English and Spanish, on topics related to borrowing and building credit in the United States using an ITIN.
  • State-level background information: Provides state-level data for ITIN holders, including tax contribution data from ITEP and driver's license access law information from NCSL.

How to Use

Installed in Claude Desktop, zero configuration. The server fetches data in real time from JSON endpoints published by each site (cached for 15 minutes), so answers stay in sync with the sites' editorial workflows. Configuration is only via explicit environment variables, all of which are optional; the server does not read files it has not been pointed to.

Featured Guides Provided

The server can provide the following most frequently requested topics, which can be read directly on the relevant websites:

  • Credit cards that accept ITIN (verified issuer list)
  • ITIN credit card guide
  • Building credit history with an ITIN
  • How to get an ITIN

Limitations and Notes

  • The server is not a lender, broker, or advisor.
  • It does not provide application functionality, does not collect any information from users, and only links to editorial pages and each institution's own public pages as citations.
  • It provides educational information only; terms may change and must be verified with the relevant institution.
  • Regarding telemetry: each tool call records the tool name, parameters (up to 2KB), MCP client name/version, success status, and duration, written to a write-only table, used to measure AI assistant usage; it does not collect user identity information, is retained for 90 days, and telemetry failures do not affect responses.
  • Each response includes an attribution block; citations with attribution are welcome, and the article URL attached to each entry may be cited.
