Constellab is a European sovereign data and AI platform developed by Gencovery, focused on the life sciences and health sectors, aiming to accelerate innovation in these fields. The platform combines expertise in the life sciences and health sectors with sovereign technology infrastructure to help research institutions and companies connect teams, data, and instruments, optimize processes, enhance traceability, and accelerate innovation from R&D and production to commercialization.
Purpose
The core goal of Constellab is to unify data from all participants in the pharmaceutical value chain (from basic research to patients), break down data silos, and make data a lever for saving lives. It serves R&D, production, and care scenarios in the life sciences and health sectors, providing concrete solutions from basic research to commercialization.
Main capabilities
- Data integration and collaboration: Connect teams, data, and instruments; provide features such as project management, Gantt charts, chat, documents, and shared notes to help structure R&D, production, and business activities.
- End-to-end traceability and AI-enhanced applications: Including notes, analysis, visualization, bioinformatics, and digital twins, among others; all data is time-stamped, linked to users, and contextualized.
- Sovereignty and compliance: Supports sovereign cloud and GDPR, and accelerates ISO, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. Deployment options include OVHcloud, Scaleway, Azure, AWS, GCP, or on-premises servers, ensuring data does not leave European territory; local or edge deployment can provide full control.
- Modular and extensible architecture: Modules can be added, tools connected, or custom applications developed, supporting the creation of interoperable applications using preferred languages, APIs, and frameworks.
- Open-source marketplace: Provides an open marketplace for workflows, agents, and datasets, where users can monetize contributions in an open and fair community.
- Scientific analysis tools: Provides visualization, bioinformatics, or statistical analysis tools.
- Interface design: A clear collaborative interface designed for scientists.
- Shared resources and community: Access to AI models, business applications, and shared content.
How to use
Users can choose the plan that suits their maturity and project needs. The platform offers Starter, Business, and Enterprise plans, supports pay-as-you-go, and allows upgrades at any time (with prorated differences), while downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Data labs are separately selected compute and storage infrastructure and can be changed independently of the plan. Annual subscriptions are billed in one go, while monthly subscriptions have no long-term commitment. Cloud data labs are billedseparately based on usage. The Enterprise plan provides unlimited collaborative spaces, dedicated servers, white-labeling, and a 99.99% SLA, and includes dedicated customer success and integration support.
Use cases
- R&D acceleration: Accelerate scientific discovery by automating analysis and visualization through AI agents and digital twins.
- Bioprocess optimization: Integrate instrument data and optimize yield through AI and digital twins.
- Crop protection: Such as FungiRESIST™, using field data and AI to predict and manage fungal resistance.
- Project management: Manage projects, tasks, and customers in a unified space and connect them with scientific data.
Limitations
Facts about the platform's specific functional limitations, free trials, detailed pricing, etc., are not yet provided in the materials.
