Purpose
mcp (Novence-ai/mcp) is a hosted Model Context Protocol server provided by Novence, used to create, inspect, deploy, and host static websites for AI agents. The description in the materials is: "Your agent can build the site. Then in seconds, give it somewhere to ship." That is, after the agent finishes building the site, it can publish it online within seconds.
Main Capabilities
- Create static sites
- Inspect static sites
- Deploy static sites
- Host static sites
The above capabilities are aimed at AI agents and are provided to agents as MCP tools for invocation.
Connection and Authentication
- Endpoint:https://api.novence.ai/mcp(streamable HTTP)
- Authentication: Initially optional. Call bootstrap(email); the session will use an nv_ key. After that, the session uses Authorization: Bearer nv_… to remain authenticated.
- Documentation: novence.ai/mcp
- Privacy: novence.ai/privacy
Usage
Claude Code Installation
When installing this plugin in Claude Code, leave the Novence API key blank. First call bootstrap(email) (MCP). After obtaining the online URL, paste the nv_ key into the plugin settings (Keychain) and run /reload-plugins so that subsequent sessions remain authenticated.
Claude stores the key through the plugin's userConfig. An empty interpolation is treated as unauthenticated (Bearer / uninterpolated ${user_config.api_key}), so bootstrap can work normally before this field is filled in.
First connect without a header, then execute bootstrap. After bootstrap, persist the key.
One-Click Installation (No Key Required)
The materials provide a one-click installation entry for "Add to Cursor".
Generic MCP Client
Same as Cursor: first fill in only the URL, and after bootstrap add Authorization: Bearer nv_….
REST Fallback
If you are not in an MCP environment, you can use the REST fallback method.
After obtaining the online URL, verify the OTP sent by email to unlock the full Free quota.
Repository Positioning
This repository is a Claude Code plugin / installation package (Novence-ai/mcp). The MCP server itself is hosted, and nothing needs to be run locally.
The Dockerfile and catalog/ stdio adapter are only used for the MCP catalog (Glama). They respond to tools/list with the public tool schema and do not include the hosted API. End users should use https://api.novence.ai/mcp。
