About this tool

Chestny ZNAK MCP server (chestny-znak-mcp-ru) is an MCP server for the Russian mandatory product labeling system (Честный знак, including ГИС МТ and СУЗ), designed to let AI assistants call that system's API.

Purpose The server wraps the interfaces of the Russian product labeling system as MCP tools for AI assistants to query and operate labeling-related data, including: marking code information, exporting data by filter conditions, querying product circulation paths by GTIN, emission orders (заказы на эмиссию), labeling reports, and authenticity verification.

Main capabilities The repository's crpt_mcp/endpoints.yaml contains 33 methods, of which 24 are read-only methods, 9 are write methods, and 0 are irreversible methods. The server strictly follows that file. Tools use a three-tool pattern rather than directly exposing 33 functions: the agent first searches for a method by keyword, then reads the method card, and finally calls it. Write and irreversible operations require confirmation. Methods have three access categories: reads execute directly, writes and irreversible operations require confirmation. Typical use cases include: checking a batch of marking codes before receiving goods, viewing the status of code emission orders in СУЗ, exporting codes belonging to a circulation participant, and viewing product circulation paths by GTIN.

How to use There are two installation paths, depending on whether a terminal is available. No terminal: download the chestny-znak-mcp-ru-vX.Y.Z.mcpb file from the releases page and double-click to open it; Claude Desktop will install the server itself and ask for the key in a separate window, with no need to edit configuration files. Python 3.10 or higher is required, and dependencies are installed automatically on first launch. Manual configuration: configure in Claude Desktop's claude_desktop_config.json. Authentication method: GET /api/v3/true-api/auth/key returns random data, the user signs it on the machine with КЭП via КриптоПро, then POST /api/v3/true-api/auth/simpleSignIn exchanges the signature for a token. The token is valid for about 10 hours. The private key never enters the server. The key may be kept out of environment variables: the server supports "cabinets" (кабинеты), saving them to ~/.ru-mcp/cabinets.json, with permissions 600, located outside the repository. Installation check: the command prints the number of loaded methods, whether the key was found, and its source, without displaying secrets; adding --live performs one low-cost real read-only call.

Applicable scenarios Suitable for AI assistant workflows that need to interact with the Russian product labeling system, such as batch checking of codes before receiving goods, tracking emission order status, exporting circulation participant codes, and querying product paths by GTIN.

Limitations and notes ЦРПТ documentation is open, at https://docs.crpt.ru/gismt/True_API/,但没有机器可读的规范:/api/v3/true-api/swagger.json returns 401. Therefore the catalog is not generated from the specification, but compiled based on the open SDK, and each record is marked verified: false. This is a map for reconnaissance: the paths are reliable, while verbs and parameters need to be checked against the documentation and the actual environment. The server shows this status in describe_method, preventing the agent from treating guesses as facts. Data and privacy: the server does not collect or transmit user data; keys are stored locally in ~/.ru-mcp/cabinets.json, and requests are sent only to the Честный знак API (ГИС МТ and СУЗ), with no telemetry. See PRIVACY_POLICY.md for full details. The core has been extracted into schema-mcp-core. Adjacent servers: vk-mcp-ru, diadoc-mcp-ru, sbis-mcp-ru. E-commerce platforms are located separately in marketplaces-mcp-ru. License: MIT. Author: Илья Утов.
